Downtown: Walk the Clayton Riverwalk & downtown — The charming riverfront walk and downtown shops & galleries make for a lovely, relaxed afternoon. Restaurants: For a relaxed meal by the water, try Wood Boat Brewery for local craft beer and pizza or Channelside for fresh seafood with stunning river views. The Clipper Inn, a longtime local favorite, serves classic surf and turf in a cozy setting. If you’re craving a refined dinner, 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel’s Seaway Grille offers elegant waterfront dining just steps from the reception. And for breakfast or a quick bite, The Scoop or Bella’s are perfect for coffee, lunch, sandwiches, and people-watching downtown.

Boldt Castle & Boldt Yacht House

Boldt Castle is a turn-of-the-century castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. Learn all about the tragic love story behind the construction of the castle, take a self-guided tour of the impressive buildings, and enjoy a picnic lunch in the beautiful gardens on this five-acre estate. Boldt Castle is a 24-minute drive from the hotel.

Tour the Antique Boat Museum

The location of our wedding ceremony! The museum is beautiful and a special place to us. Regan's grandfather has worked with the museum for decades.

Fishing Tours & Cruises

Climb aboard the Muskie and enjoy a ½ day drift fishing or a full day drift fishing or trolling trip with Classic Island Cruises. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks for lunch or enjoy a shore dinner if participating in a full day fishing trip. In addition to fishing trips, personalized tours may be arranged, and wine and cheese cruises are also available.

Singer Castle

Feeling adventurous? Take a journey back in time and visit Singer Castle. Embark on a 45-minute tour into this century old mansion located on Dark Island. The 4-floor castle is filled with various grand rooms, secret passageways, and priceless artifacts. Guests are welcome to sit and watch a video full of fun facts regarding the castle and its history. 36-minute drive from the hotel.

The Clayton Opera House

Take a walk around the block and visit a community favorite, the Clayton Opera House. Considered to be a historical landmark, the opera house is a hub for cultural, educational, and social events throughout the year. It is home to approximately 170 events with attendance exceeding 14,000 audience members. Tickets to upcoming shows can be purchased through their box office, over the phone, or on their website.
