FAQs

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding day?

Answer

The dress code is black tie optional - we want you to feel comfortable and look your best! Ladies, choose shoes you will feel comfortable getting on and off a tour boat in. The ceremony and reception are also both outside on the grass.

Question

What’s the weather typically like in summer?

Answer

Summer in the 1000 Islands is warm, sunny, and breezy — perfect for enjoying the river! Daytime temperatures are usually in the mid-70s to low-80s, with cooler evenings in the 60s. The air is fresh off the St. Lawrence River, so it can feel a bit cooler by the water, especially at night.

Question

Are photos allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present in the moment with us. We’ve hired a wonderful photographer to capture everything, and we promise to share the photos afterward! Once the ceremony ends, please feel free to take all the pictures and videos you’d like during cocktail hour and the reception.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. The only children attending will be those in the immediate families of the bride and groom. We hope you can enjoy the weekend as a fun getaway and celebration!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest" then yes! If not, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
