Sebastians by the Sea

*Sebastian's had significant damage during the hurricane, they are rebuilding but we are unaware of when they will reopen. We recommend speaking with the hotel directly if interested in staying there. We have gotten word that the beach front rooms are open and better than ever if interested.* Sebastian's is just down the road from the wedding ceremony and reception location. It has budget friendly rooms with a nice little beach out front and a tasty ocean-front restaurant.

Ke Villas is another option close to The Sugar Mill. The small hotel offers new studio rooms with kitchenettes in all rooms. Walking distance to The Sugar Mill, and local restaurants.

There are lots of villas, rooms, or entire houses available in Apple Bay or anywhere over the island for all different budgets! Feel free to stay the week! Just remember having a car to get around the island may be necessary depending on the location. *Many homes on the website will let you know if they had any damage during the storm. Just make sure to speak with owners first before making any reservations*

Flight

Cyril E. King Airport (STT)

STT is located on St. Thomas and is usually the more affordable option to fly into. From here you will need a cab to one of the ferry terminals (Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie), and a ferry to Tortola's marina (West End is closest to the Sugar Mill and Apple Bay rather than the Road Town ferry terminal). From whichever ferry terminal there will be a cab ride (10 minutes from West End and a little longer maybe 20-30 from Road Town).

Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS)

This airport is located on Beef Island on Tortola. From here you will need a taxi ride or rent a car to get to Apple Bay. Flying into this airport is generally more expensive from the US, however, is much more convenient.

Luis Munoz Marin Interinational Airport (SJU)

It is possible to fly from the US to San Juan, Puerto Rico and then take a flight to Beef Island OR St. Thomas. From Beef Island on Tortola you would then take a cab to Apple Bay. If flying into St. Thomas you would need to get a cab to one of the ferry terminals, a ferry to Tortola, and then a cab to the hotel.

Ferry Information

From St. Thomas there are two ferry docks to leave from (Charlotte Amalie or Red Hook). Charlotte Amalie is closer to the airport and is a short taxi ride, 5-10 min. From either ferry dock you will take one of the ferries, run by Smith's Ferry, Road Town Fast ferry, or Native Son to Tortola. There are 2 ferry docks on Tortola, Road Town and West End. **West End ferry dock may not be open until 2019** You can easily get a cab or pick up a rental car from the Road Town Ferry terminal. If you are renting a car, make sure to arrange and reserve this ahead of time. Keep in mind the ferries generally stop running between the islands around 4:30. If you arrive late in the afternoon-evening you may need to stay the night on St. Thomas. On Sundays there are a limited number of ferries running. Don't buy ferry tickets in advance, wait till you arrive at the dock.

Driving and Rental Car Information

If you are staying for more than a couple days we would recommend renting a car to explore the island. Try to reserve a car in advance just to make sure you can get the size you will need. It might be a good idea to split it with another couple/person. The cars do drive on the opposite side of the road, however, are still set up like American cars (steering wheel on the left but stay on the left side of the road). We have listed some of the car rental companies but your hotel/airbnb may be able to set up a car for you as well. The Sugar Mill can assist with car rentals for a good price if you decide to stay there.
