Back in the early days of COVID, Mary and Jeffrey agreed to a first date in Golden Gate Park. Mary had just moved across the country to start her emergency medicine residency at Stanford, and Jeffrey was busy earning his mechanical engineer degree at UC Berkeley. Mary, not knowing anyone in the area, was all about trying to meet new people, which albeit proved difficult in the middle of a global pandemic (who would have thought). The two decided to abide by the local regulations and masked up for a "six-feet-apart" date. However, that six feet quickly decreased and they spent the next 8 hours hanging out in GG Park, talking, exploring, and listening to pop up bands. Mary even met and ate dinner with Jeff's brother that very same night (talk about meeting the family early). The two felt an instant connection and closeness and hung out the next several days in a row, and from there, the rest is history.
