Maid of Honor
Katie's dopplegänger, womb-mate, and adolescent punching bag (and vice versa), Kelsey's been around since the literal start. She's Katie's best friend. She's a beautiful soul intent on making the people she loves happy. She's the perfect partner in crime on such a big day. Also, Katie stole all of Kelsey's food in the womb, so Katie owes her. We love Kelsey.
Best Woman
Marly's little sister and lifelong sidekick. Hannah is kind, smart, funny, and just a ridiculously great person. Though they live far apart, Hannah accompanies Marly via often interrupted/dropped phone chats on all her best walks, drives, and laundry folding days. Marly wants to be her when she grows up. Very good brain.
Bridesman
Katie remembers walking around her parents backyard talking to God and asking for a little brother. She delivered. Jamie showed up on October 22, 1996 and made Katie's life ten thousand times better (and occasionally more annoying). Jamie is brilliant, beautiful, compassionate, and a joyous companion in life. Katie changed his diapers. She expects him to return the favor someday.
Best Woman
Natalie first taught Marly excel tricks and how to mask a work hangover, and ten years later she has given loving guidance on everything from heartbreak to home decor. While each will now have their respective spouses, Marly and Natalie have always planned on owning neighboring homes joined by a whiskey tunnel, and they look forward to one day meeting there for daily night caps.
Bridesmaid
Kim. Kimmie. Kimba. Kimbaloohoo. Besties since A-one day-one. Kim and Katie are the product of two best friends and the legend lives on. Katie would like to thank Kimmie for being the best hype woman on the planet. And for the confetti that will live in her backyard forever.
Best Woman
Marly and Kayla found friendship as high school theatre kids and they're basically still doing that, just the adult NYC version. Kayla is one of the best and most dependable people you will ever meet. She's tirelessly creative, has the best dark humor, and lovingly stage manages/photo journals Marly's life (including bottling the pure joy/love/magic in our homepage pics).
Bridesmaid
Mr. Elenbaas brought Emily and Katie together in 4th grade (should really write that guy a thank you card...). Katie is so grateful to have Emily in her life. Emily is the perfect person to do nothing and everything with. Thanks, Emily, for always being willing to grab a six pack and sit on the beach for hours blaring country music.
Best Man
Before Marly had a lady fiancee, she had a gay husband. And that gay husband is Dustin. Dustin and Marly lived together at the height of the pandemic which gave them plenty of time to share their love for craft cocktails, spontaneous dress up nights, late night life talks, and Mad Men binges. Bring him a boulvardier at the wedding and he'll play you piano real nice.
Bridesmaid
Katie and Izzy met... while they were... in a sorority... in college. Still one of the weirder chapters in Katie's life. Izzy and Katie were pledge masters together (talk about a bonding experience). They've been through a lot over the course of the last 13 years and they've weathered every storm and celebrated every joy together. Cheers to so much more.
Best Woman
Marly and Lauren found each other in middle school, escaped to the city (Dallas) every chance they got, and made the great escape to the big city (NYC) together for college. Lauren was the first friend Marly came out to. She bought her a cupcake. It was simple, sweet, delicious, and bright - just like their friendship.
Bridesmaid
Katie remembers seeing the little red headed girl running around the yard across the street and thinking that it would be cool to be friends. Movies in their parent's basements (and waking their parents up at all hours), late night swims in Lake Michigan, college, moves to the Big Apple, a baby-now a toddler, moves across the country. Life has taken Ellen and Katie all over the place but one thing has stayed the same- Ellen's always been there. What a fabulous ride it's been with this true blue friend.
Best Woman
Emily Bartholomeu Kaczmarek and Marly met in college and although they went to different schools, they worked hard on building and growing a coven of deep friendships that lives on to this day. Emily is a fierce, funny, firecracker of a best friend. Though their college music duo That's What She Said was short-lived, their undying love for one another burns on.
Bridesmaid
Katie moved to NYC in 2016 for a job and she was TERRIFIED. Her first week on the job her agency hosted a staff development day and everyone went to the bar afterward. Katie sat at the end of the bar nursing a bourbon- straight. Jess walked over and sat down and asked how Katie was doing. Katie responded "Great! Super excited to be here!" Jess said "it's probably also pretty lonely." Damn, girl. Jess has been by Katie's side ever since. Jess is family and Katie is so glad she's here.
Best Woman
Becca and Marly have shared a dorm room, a very cozy NYC apartment, countless nachos, and a lifetime of laughs. Becca is an incredible listening ear for the best days, the worst days, and everything in between. She's painfully funny, incredibly wise, and has a genuine need to make sure everyone is ok at all times. She also has a lovely affinity for cats with too many toes and never chooses TV over nature.
Bridesmaid
Oh man, Liz. Katie still remembers the first time she saw Liz. Preschool. 1995. Liz was sitting on a stool in a poofy dress pissed as hell that her mom was leaving her with these weirdos. It was love at first sight. Long live the gruesome twosome, raising hell forever and always.
Best Woman
Alex "Bobby" Milak is what happens when you mix a spirit guide with an Italian mother. She and Marly have spent the last many years enjoying stoop sits, coffee talks, patio time, and park hangs. Alex can give you all the best secret NYC spots in one breath and the most profound life advice in the next. Marly looks past her hatred of ABBA and through to her giant meatball heart.
Bridesmaid
Katie has known Ellie since Ellie was zero years old. Ellen is always, always up for a good time. She's the life of the party, but she also brings a whole lot of soul. Ellen kicks everyone's butts out of bed so that we don't lose the opportunity for a memory, and thank god for that.
Best Woman
Erin and Marly met in those magic years right after college. They have watched their friendship evolve from drunk cab rides and crying over Grey's Anatomy to exchanging dog pics and crying over Grey's Anatomy. They are founding members of the Pride Planning Committee and steadfast meeps. Erin is a brilliant empath, quiet tastemaker, and bootiful forever friend.
Bridesman
Patrick is the worlds best sport, even if he was pissed when Katie beat him in Tony Hawk Pro Skater on Nintendo 64. Patrick was at every girl birthday party, sat through every ridiculous rom com viewing, and listened to endless mindless gossip. The world's best sport, but also one of the world's best humans. Katie would like thank Patrick for always being around to carry each other home.
Best Woman
Kayla and Marly became fast soul sisters in college and have been terrorizing NYC neighborhoods with their carefully curated playlists ever since. If they had a dollar for every time they've been asked to turn the music down, it would pay for this wedding. Kayla is Queen of Good Times and we can't wait to see her on the dance floor.
