Our love story began back in January of 2017. It was a cold winter night, and both Ryan and Tia happened to stumbled upon the same bar in River North with their friends. Ryan was celebrating a friend moving away while Tia was celebrating a friends birthday. At some point in the evening, our paths crossed and Tia tapped Ryan on the shoulder to compliment his man bun (which it was the first night Ryan’s hair was long enough to tie back in a bun!) Ryan was immediately love struck and wanted to take Tia home with him that evening but settled for a sushi date the following week when he was politely let down by her. During the week that elapsed until our first date, we talked nonstop while Ryan was in Florida with his family celebrating his Oma’s 90th birthday. Ryan even called Tia while he was with his family and gushed over her to his brother and sister. The following week, we grabbed sushi together and every sentence seemed to end in “omg, me too!” It was the most perfect first date, as we found out we have so much in common and hadn’t laughed that hard with another person in ages. We were inseparable after that. A few weeks later it was Valentine’s Day and Ryan asked Tia out to dinner. Tia knew this must be serious because you don’t just take ANYONE out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. After a wonderful dinner at a local Mexican restaurant where Tia’s previous fling was their waiter (that wasn’t awkward at all) the evening ended on a much better note with Tia bluntly asking Ryan what his intentions were and he responded by asking Tia to be his girlfriend. Fast forward six years and Ryan got down on one knee in Tampa while celebrating our six year anniversary. It was an immediate yes from Tia as she had been waiting YEARS for Ryan to pop the question. She knew during that first sushi date that she would be spending the rest of her life with this young chap. In the six years we’ve been together, we lived in three different states, traveled to eight countries, hiked five national parks, roadtripped all across the country together and added two fur babies to our family. We’re currently starting our own business together and so excited to welcome you to our new home in Sarasota, Florida.
