Nikkah Ceremony

NOTE: We will be starting the ceremony promptly at 3pm so please arrive on time. The Nikkah (marriage) ceremony will take place at Mariam’s childhood masjid (mosque), The Islamic Center of Cleveland. Please dress modestly (e.g., arms and legs covered for both genders, and a headscarf for women) prior to entering the prayer hall. Additional scarves/shawls will be available if needed. Everyone is also asked to please remove their shoes before entering the prayer hall. You may place them in the shoe area located inside the mosque and immediately outside of the prayer hall. Thank you!
Nikkah Reception

At the conclusion of the Nikkah ceremony, please join us at the Weymouth Country Club to celebrate the Nikkah reception. The program will start with appetizers on the beautiful outdoor patio followed by the arrival of the bride and groom, and their families.

Walima Reception

The Walima (marriage banquet) is the second part of a traditional Muslim wedding (the first part being the Nikkah ceremony). It is a time to gather, celebrate, and further announce the marriage union to family and friends. Our Walima will be held in Los Angeles, CA at the lovely Marina City Club. The ballroom is located on the 3rd floor of Center Tower. Valet parking will be provided (but, please remember to tip parking attendants, if you feel so inclined).
