Our gift is truly your presence, but if you would like to honor the occasion, may we suggest a donation to one of the following amazing organizations.
In honor of Lyn Greenfield
Lyn and Rich were married for more than three decades and raised three beautiful children together. She passed away after a two year bout with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) in September 2020 at the age of 58. Before Lyn lost cognition, she revealed to Rich that she had always felt sad for her father, who was also a widower. They'd lost Lyn's mom to lung cancer at the age of 56. Her father never had another relationship in his life. Lyn and Rich were both crying when she told him, "Do not be like my Dad. You need to have a happy life, so promise me that you will meet someone and be happy." This gift honors her memory, my commitment to Lyn, the beautiful life we shared together and our promises made to each other.
In honor of Richard Hanewinckel
Richard and Marcia shared a beautiful life together for 15 years. Richard was a “gentle soul” and a consummate gentleman, not just with her, but with everyone whose lives he touched. Though he will be forever missed by so many, he left footprints of love and kindness on the hearts of those he shared life with. Early on, Rich was very clear with Marcia that she would be a young woman when he would no longer be with her. He could not beat the rath of juvenile diabetes. He asked that she live her life fully and with the same values that made them both fall in love with each other. "You have so much love to give, he said, please share that with others and find love again." Rich left us in July of 2018 at the age of 64. In his memory, donations made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Also in honor of my Mom, "Betty" Schieck who died of Frototemporal Dementia at 67 and dad who left me in November 2020.
