Bridesmaid
MARCIA: BFF Wendy, what a journey we have had together!!! We have known each other since we were five. Growing up just two doors away from each other - we were total childhood partners in crime. You mean the world to me, having been by my side through all of life’s ups and downs. Our 55-year friendship is built on complete trust, unconditional love, acceptance and unwavering support. We've shared so much laughter, and tears (but way more laughter!), and so many secrets and special memories. We have always stuck together even though sometimes we seemed worlds apart, in distance or life’s journey. Ours is a truly special bond. Wendy, I love, respect and adore you, You are the sister I never had, and that will never ever change! Here’s to another 20-30 years together with many great times and many, many beautiful memories to be made with our new beautiful families together.
Best Man
RICH: Richard is my oldest son and best man. He is a Lieutenant Commander in the Unites States Navy based in Norfolk, VA. I am so proud of you, Rich, and your unwavering dedication to the Navy, carrying on a tradition of naval service just like my Mom and Dad, who enlisted and served after the attack on Pearl Harbor during WWII. I admire the way you have grown to become a patient and loving husband of Sara, and Dad to your son, Trey, and daughter, Adalyn Mildred. It makes me so incredibly proud to have a son who is so accomplished at a young age, and at the same time realizes the importance and value of deep family bonds.
Bridesmaid
MARCIA: My amazingly sweet cousin you are such a "rock" in our family. Growing up together in Pittsburgh couldn't have been finer spending almost every Christmas holiday enjoying all the family celebrations and Christmas magic our families created. Lisa, you mean the world to me! I could not imagine my life without all the beautiful memories we have made together, especially at Geneva-On-The-Lake, and I so look forward to all those yet to come. You are one of the most genuine, non-judgmental, caring people I know. Your love and unwavering support meant the world to me when I needed you most. I am so incredibly lucky to have you in my life and am honored that you will be part of our special day and our expanded family.
Groomsman & Bride's Escort
MARCIA: Richard Hanewinckel’s son, my stepson. What a beautiful journey we have shared, you and me, Steve. It has been such a privilege for me to share the very special bond we have nurtured since your dad passed. You are like him in so many ways, especially your smile, sense of humor, intelligence, and your super likable, always kind, personality. But what makes me the most proud of you, Steve, is that you are a gentleman of true character: genuine, thoughtful, caring, especially with your beautiful wife Katie. You are mature beyond your years... always putting family and friends first. You will always be a special part of this amazing new family and our new life together.
Bridesmaid
MARCIA: Ahhh sweet, silly cousin, Kelly, what can I say? While you are 20 years my junior, you and I have a very special family bond – we just “get” each other in way that requires no words. We have shared so many laughs and special times together, especially on vacations and weekend trips. I am so proud of you and your success, as well as your love and commitment to family, especially to Cam and Tom. You are simply one-of-a-kind and irreplaceable. I can’t wait to share the next chapter of our lives together, with Rich and our families. I love and adore you sweet Cousin Kelly!
Groomsman
RICH: Kevin is my youngest son, and the nicest young man you will ever meet. You are a loyal son, Kevin, as well as a loving and trusted brother to Rich and Kait, and an amazingly loving and doting Uncle to your nephew and nieces. You are always there to lend a helping hand whenever family or friends need you most, without hesitation. My son, I am so very proud of all of your accomplishments and especially your commitment to family. I am so thankful and appreciative of how you were always there for me when we lost your mom. The kindness, love and support you share with all of your family and friends is exceptional.
Bridesmaid
RICH: Kait, my adorable sweet daughter, married to husband Steve, and joining our wedding party with her daughter, Coco (Colette), who will be our flower girl. My only daughter, you have always held such a special place in my heart, and have always been there for me, especially during the trying times with your Mom's disease. I am so proud of how you have grown to be such a confident, nurturing and loyal mother and wife in the image of your Mom, Lyn, who we lost a few years ago. Like all of my children, your bond with me and your brothers is one that most people would only wish for. Kait, you are beautiful inside and out in every way. I could not be more proud to be your father and have you stand up for me on this special day to enjoy our new families together.
Groomsman
MARCIA & RICH: Richard and his wife, Cathy, are among our closest friends in Rehoboth Beach, DE . Marcia met Richard and Cathy when their dogs, Alana and Hanna, were just puppies. It's been 10 years since they bumped into each other on that dog walk, and they've been fast friends ever since. Richard (and Cathy) you are family in every way. You are always there for us when we need you most. We truly value the moments when we can simply enjoy your company and the endless hours of laughs and antics we share together. You will always have a very special place in our hearts and a very special seat at our table as family.
Flower Girl
RICH: Coco is Kait's daughter and Rich's granddaughter. What more can you say except that you can have no deeper love than for your grandchildren. Marcia and I both adore this little girl. She is a bundle of whimsical emotions and antics, but mostly has demonstrated how super confident and extremely sassy one can be in her two short years in this world.
Ring Bearer
RICH: Richard, a.k.a. Trey, is my first grandchild and the love of my life. Trey is one of the sweetest and gentle young boys I've ever had the pleasure of meeting (of course I am partial!). Trey exudes joy and happiness everyday and to everyone he meets. Marcia and I just can’t get enough of him and his infectious smile and laughter, and he is now a wonderful big brother to his baby sister, Adalyn.
Officiant
MARCIA: My dear friend Amy, you have been such a special part of my life, in transitions from our crazy group beach houses at the DE shore, black ties events in DC and many super fun group vacations. It's been such a fun ride to be part of your beautiful family celebrations for over a decade with the kids and Adam. I have always felt a uniquely special bond with you -- as you are a bit of a "tornado" in life, like me. You are such a beautiful person and amazing "soul." Exceptionally generous, kind and relentless in your zest for life and service to those less fortunate. You touched my heart on our first vacation together, over ten years ago, when you invited me and Richard to spend a day "in service" at an orphanage in the foothills of some suspectly dangerous Mexican town an hour from our resort. What beautiful memories, that day, we all shared with the kids. Attending your beautiful farm wedding nearly 10 years ago was so special (that's when farm weddings weren't even popular). What a great fit to have you be intimately involved in our new life journey as our official wedding planner extraordinaire for our Hopkins Heartland event. After months of ongoing planning and zoom meetings, you had the chance to really get to know Rich, as well. Your understanding of our values as a couple and what brought us together made it very easy for us to want you to stand as our wedding officiant for this very special day. Merci Beaucoup, my friend!
