Things To Do

Hamoa Beach

Hamoa Beach

Hamoa Beach, Hana, HI 96713

Hank basically grew up on this beach, and after decades of travel to exotic coastal locations, will still testify that Hamoa is the greatest beach in the world.

Koki Beach Park

Koki Beach Park

175 Haneoo Road, Hana, HI 96713

Koki is the most consistent surf spot in Hana for anyone looking to catch a few waves. Usually a little less crowded than Hamoa.

Waioka Pond (Venus Pool)

Waioka Pond (Venus Pool)

3.5 miles south of Hana town, Hana, HI 96713

Hank's backyard growing up! Waioka is a short walk from where you park on the side of the road and there are great cliff jumps!

Fagan's Cross

Fagan's Cross

Starts from the parking lot across from Hana Hotel, Hana, HI 96713

The hike to Fagans cross is a short but steep walk through the cow pasture and will give you a great view of Hana town.

'Ohe'o Gulch (Seven Sacred Pools)

'Ohe'o Gulch (Seven Sacred Pools)

9 miles south of Hana town, Kipahulu, HI 96713

If you're looking for a 4-ish mile hike, the bamboo forest is exceptional. A shorter walk from the parking lot to the rivermouth is also very beautiful.

Waiʻānapanapa State Park

Hana, HI 96713

Need to make reservations in advance to visit park. Beautiful black sand beach with good swimming.

Where to Eat

Where to Eat

Hana town, Hana, HI 96713

There are actually quite a few food trucks in Hana town. We recommend Ae's Thai food, Da Fish Shack and Hana Maui Pizza. If you want to go out to dinner, probably your best bet is Hana Ranch or Hana Farms (dinner and live music only on Friday + Saturdays) and the Hana Hotel bar and restaurant is another option. For coffee hit up Da Mean Bean or My Tita's Cafe.

For all the days along the way
