We love your kids and plan to spend as much time with them as possible in the days leading up to (and after!) the wedding, but for the big day we want all parents to let loose! Please get in touch with us if you need assistance finding a sitter. If your baby is too young to be left with a sitter, then of course bring him/her along!
We appreciate all of our friends and family who wish to be present on our wedding day and wish we had the resources to invite literally everyone! Please understand that we have strict limitations on the number of people due to seating and tent space and are able to accommodate only who is listed on your RSVP. If some of your party cannot make it, we have other friends and family we would love to invite so we appreciate you not bringing extra people. If somebody is not on your RSVP that you think should be, please reach out to us.
We would be honored to have you at our little lovefest, however, we know that it is remote and expensive, so please feel no pressure at all to make the trek. We completely understand and want you to know that your love from afar is enough and we certainly don’t expect everyone to fly out to Maui. Commit a random act of kindness in our honor!
If you are coming from out of town, we recommend you start looking for a spot to stay as soon as possible. There are limited options in Hana and things tend to get booked early. See the Travel page for more details and don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you’d like help finding a spot or would like to be connected to others looking to rent.
Please do! We are heavily encouraging everyone to camp at the land the night of the wedding. If you do not plan to camp then please line up a designated driver beforehand!
Play dress up! We'd love to see your weirdest, most fun or fancy outfits (long gloves, sheer dresses, cowboy boots - yes please!) but wear whatever you are the most comfortable in and can groove the hardest in. We are getting married in a rainy jungle, so prepare for rain! and heat. and mosquitos. (bring bug spray if you need) Wear shoes appropriate for walking on grass and wetness. Or go barefoot!
Hana weather is famous for its unpredictability - one minute it will be a beautiful sunny day and the next a torrential downpour, so come prepared! Most of your time will be spent in bathing suits and flip flops, but it can be a bit chilly at night. A light jacket should really be all you need though. The wedding celebration will be all outdoors.
The mosquitoes at our venue are plenty, and can be vicious. If you have sweet blood and no life-long local build up of immunity, then bug spray is a must.
