The longest hike with the most switchbacks ever up to Garibaldi Lake in Sḵwx̱wú7mesh territory. To be up in the fresh mountain air made it all worth it though.

We roadtripped to Tofino in our beloved 2001 Toyota 4Runner and took surf lessons for the first time! It rained during the whole trip except for the 3 hours of rainbow-y sunshine we got while surfing.

Fiordland National Park. We wanted to say we'd been to the southern-most part of mainland NZ, so we drove for hours just to get to Bluff in the dark but were rewarded with views like this on the way.

Took a quick ferry ride to Île Bonaventure for a hike around the island. It's a migratory sanctuary for gannets, a beautiful white seabird with a yellowish head and black-masked face and wing tips.
