Swimming at Thetis Lake on the Island.

When we made the cover of our program's magazine! Who are these youngins...

49th Parallel on West 4th is one of our favourite coffee and donut spots in Vancouver. Vic highly recommends the Salted Caramel donut!

Pika (pee-ka) and Maize running at low tide into Burrard Inlet. The tide gets so low you can make it halfway to the mountains from Kitsilano!

Our friend Sharon's sweet yellow house we lived in for a couple years.

Skiing (well, Maize was snowboarding) at Cypress on New Year's Day, 2016. A lovely start to the year.

Maize's graduation from UBC in 2016!

The longest hike with the most switchbacks ever up to Garibaldi Lake in Sḵwx̱wú7mesh territory. To be up in the fresh mountain air made it all worth it though.

We adopted our beautiful cat, Juniper, from the Catfé in Vancouver. It didn't take long for her to start climbing the trees in Sharon's yard.

Our first glimpse of Lake Superior on our cross-country move from Vancouver to Montréal.

Vic enjoying some gelato at Marché Atwater in Montréal, our new home.

Juni modelling as per usual in our first apartment in Montréal.

Dinner in Old Port, Montréal.

We made the most of Maize's work trip to Hawai'i with Aboriginal Territories in Cyberspace a few years ago, driving the whole Kamehameha Hwy in Oahu. We stopped for burritos and the beach on the way!

When we saw Elias Petterson score his first NHL hat trick AND made it into the Canucks social media post about it! We're easy to spot as the only ones standing and cheering amongst all the Sens fans.

Tulum, Mexico - Spring 2019.

At the beach! Playa Las Palmas in Tulum.

This place had delicious gelato and incredible breakfast waffles.

Aotearoa (New Zealand) - Summer 2019. This was the view from our Airbnb in Queenstown on the South Island the first night we were there.

On the way to Piopiotahi (Milford Sound) is a single-lane tunnel that alternates the direction traffic can flow. The kea kept us entertained while waiting, and took a bite of our rental's window seal!

Vic on the boardwalk at Piopiotahi.

The peaks and fjords of Piopiotahi.

Vic at a look-out point on our way further south.

Fiordland National Park. We wanted to say we'd been to the southern-most part of mainland NZ, so we drove for hours just to get to Bluff in the dark but were rewarded with views like this on the way.

Hiking up to Coronet Peak on our last day in Queenstown. It was so windy and we made it up just before a snow storm rolled in!

A lookout point we stopped at on our way to Piha Beach on the North Island. We touched the waters of the Tasman Sea that day.

Visiting Bilbo's house in The Shire with our favourite LOTR fans, Daniel and Coll!

Our first balcony garden. We grew kale, tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, and a bunch of herbs!

The best Korean padak is shared with friends beside the St. Lawrence River.

View of the St. Lawrence in summer from our local park. It's nice to have a regular reminder that we live on an island.

The view from the top of Mont-Saint-Hilaire where we *officially* got engaged in November 2019.

Our whirlwind of a trip around the Gaspésie in Mi'kmaq territory - Summer 2020. We camped next to the Gulf of St. Lawrence in Pointe-Saint-Pierre, and got up with the sun while it woke up the land.

Took a quick ferry ride to Île Bonaventure for a hike around the island. It's a migratory sanctuary for gannets, a beautiful white seabird with a yellowish head and black-masked face and wing tips.

So many gannets! And sooo stinky.

Making our way down to the stone beach for some rest and snacks after our hike up the Mont-Saint-Alban trail in the Cap-Bon-Ami region of Forillon National Park.

Feeling how chilly the water was. (It was cold!)

Our our way home, we stopped at Parc national du Bic. Despite the cold wind and rain (Maize was in his element), we enjoyed every minute of it.

Blurry fields and a horizon of mountains on our way home to Montréal.

One day we went out for a walk to the river...and came back with a kitten. Tobacco is so sweet and full of life. Juni still isn't impressed, but just look at that face!

June getting some fresh air with us on the terrace after a long day of work for us and lounging for her.
