If you're going to come all this way to MN, MOA is a must! 4-story mega mall (the biggest in the entire USA), complete with every store you've ever thought of, and some you didn't know even existed plus a food court that can only be described as overwhelming. Our favorites include: Tactical Urban Combat Laser Tag, Nickelodeon Universe theme park, LEGO store, Games by James and the original Rainforest Cafe location.
This beautiful State Park hosts Minnehaha Falls, a 53-foot waterfall that is a must-see on the Twin Cities tour! This was also one of the first places we ever visited on our first date weekend, and is the site of some of out first photos together. After that first weekend in 2020, Maeghan sent a 4x6 photo of the two of us in front of Minnehaha Falls to Keiran in the mail with a mini-Post-It note that said "Put On Fridge". 4+ years later, that photo is still on our fridge!
One of the most iconic sights in all of the Twin Cities! This former railroad bridge crosses the mighty Mississippi at St Anthony Falls. Across the street from the Mill City Museum!
A late addition to our sight-seeing tour but a must-see! The Flour Tower interactive ride is so fun :) Right across from the world-famous Stone Arch Bridge!
The most famous sculpture in the Walker Sculpture Garden. Walker Sculpture Garden is the outdoor walkable garden attached to the Walker Museum.
The museum and home of legendary musician, sex symbol and Minnesota native....PRINCE!! Paisley Park is 25 minute drive from the Courtyard Marriott MSP Airport hotel. **Please note: tickets for Sept 2025 are not on sale yet. They will likely be released in the spring for purchase**
Home of the Minnesota Twins! Baseball is our sport and we have gone to a bunch of games together, and with family and friends in tow, to see the Twinnies play the Blue Jays (Keiran's team), the Mets (Maeghan's team) and a whole bunch of other (irrelevant) AL Central teams. Join us at Target Field on SUN 9/14 for our post-wedding Twins Game event to keep the party going!
One of the most iconic and historic theaters in Minnesota with a legendary origin as a Shakespeare Conservatory turned Performing Arts Powerhouse! Catch a show while you're in town if you can! When Maeghan first visited Keiran in MN, he took a photo of her on the Stone Arch Bridge with the Guthrie Theatre behind her. The theatre nerd in her LOST HER MIND!
The James J. Hill house is a stunning historical landmark and museum, offering tours throughout the mansion to learn more about one of the most influential historical figures in Minnesotan history. (The Hill House is even more beautiful at Christmastime!)
Historic Fort Snelling is a walk-through historical landmark and includes reenactments and interactive military exhibits.
Home of the Minnesota Vikings! One of the most electric Game-Day experiences of any league, any team and any town. SKOL VIKINGS!
Como Zoo has a beautiful conservatory and is a great Saint Paul excursion - and the best part is, it's free! (Voluntary Donations are always accepted and appreciated, though!)
The Minnesota Institute of Art is the largest and most famous art museum in the heart of Minneapolis with immersive, limited time exhibits sprinkled throughout. And admission is free!
One of my favorite Drag Brunch experiences in the state! What a riot and Miss Bebe Zahara Benet, original winner of RuPaul's Drag Race season 1, is a regular cast member. If you like drag, or would like to experience drag, this is a cute spot in MN!
The Chain of Lakes is a set of 5 lakes within Minneapolis (Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles, Bde Maka Ska [formerly Lake Calhoun], Brownie Lake and Cedar Lake) that are connected by trails, waterways and parks. The Chain of Lakes is great for nature walks within the city limits and has kayaks and paddle boards for rent. (We recommend Lake of the Isles or Bde Maka Ska [formerly Lake Calhoun] as the starting point, as these are the largest and prettiest lakes in the chain.)
The one, the only, Mary Tyler Moore! The statue honoring the groundbreaking star is located on a street corner in downtown Minneapolis, depicting the iconic final shot in the opening credits, when Mary throws her her little hat in the air.
If you love Mary Tyler Moore, take a quick drive-by the iconic house used for the exterior shots of the apartment on the show. Please note: this is a REAL HOUSE and the owners are open to photos in front of the house from the sidewalk; the house is not available for touring or coming onto the property.
Our favorite restaurant in all of Saint Paul - famous for their Juicy Lucys and declared the original house to invent it! Also has bowling in the basement, which is electric! What's a Juicy Lucy?! Only one of the two Minnesotan contributions to American cuisine - Juicy Lucys are cheese-stuffed burgers that explode when you bite into them!
One of the first places Keiran took Maeghan during their sight-seeing weekend in Minneapolis in March 2020! Known for their brews and gourmet pizzas with indoor/outdoor seating, yard games and fire pits
Some of the best pizza in the state....which of course is a pretty serious recommendation coming from Maeghan, who is from the land of the greatest pizza in the world!
One of Keiran's favorite restaurants - best known for all-you-can-eat sushi!
