Maeghan met Keiran at American University in September 2011 on her first day of her new Desk Receptionist job at Anderson Hall. Maeghan fell in love at first sight during her training, and she and Keiran would spend tons of time working together at The Desk, causing her to fall deeper into her feelings. But the timing wasn't right then.... After years of keeping in contact for birthdays and holidays, Maeghan and Keiran reconnected in early 2020 and started talking every day. Two month later, Maeghan invited herself out to Minnesota in March to visit Keiran and see if there was something there...and there was! They spent their first date weekend in Mora, MN exploring the small town life and seeing the sights in Minneapolis. However, during that same time, COVID-19 was starting to pick up in NY and quickly spread throughout the world. In a time of uncertainty, Maeghan and Keiran chose to keep the flame of their new relationship alive long distance during a global pandemic and would spend two weeks at a time working and living together in Keiran's apartment over the course of an entire year. In April 2021, Maeghan made the move out to Minnesota to cut down the distance and they have lived in the Land of 10,000 Lakes together ever since! In December 2023, Keiran asked Maeghan to marry him at the GLOW Festival in Saint Paul, just before Christmas for a Hallmark-style festival proposal with a few friends in attendance to photograph the event.

In Fall 2011, Keiran worked for American University's Housing and Dining Programs and was in need of a new Desk Receptionist after a staffer resigned. Maeghan was hired and joined his staff, and Keiran personally trained her for all on-the-job knowledge. Little did he know he would be training his future wife! 14 years and 2 days after that first day of training, Keiran and Maeghan will say "I Do"!
