San Diego Zoo

This zoo is huge and so amazing! I would plan a full, or at least half, day for this. We would recommend starting in the morning.
San Diego Zoo Safari Park

This is about 30 minutes north of downtown San Diego - but is an extension of the San Diego Zoo, and is amazing as well!

This is about a 35-40 minute drive north of San Diego and is super fun!
Disneyland Park

Disneyland is about 90 minutes north of San Diego in Orange County, CA. If you have time on the trip, we would recommend spending at least a day at Disneyland and California Adventure if you can.
