Lenell and Madison met through friends. They hung out in a group a couple of times that summer, but didn't think much of it at the time, as it was very brief. It would be another six years before they would cross paths again and truly "meet" each other at a friend's birthday party!

Lenell surprised Madison with a packed bag when she arrived home from work and the kids at the babysitter's already. They took off east in the car for a night in Phoenix! Madison thought she was just getting to go to the Seahawks vs Cardinals game (awesome!) - however Lenell had something bigger in store! Lenell had a canvas hand-painted of one of the family pictures and had the hotel bring it to the room. Madison answered the door and turned back around to Lenell on one knee with a speech. The significance of going to the game is that the couple's first date was in Seattle in 2011 at the Seahawks vs Rams game - so thoughtful! Lots of tears and smiles!
