Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Madeline Chaves and Zachary Noonan
Durango is the kind of town you can just start walking and you will find something to do. But just incase, here are a few of our favorite restaurants, hikes, and activities.

El Moro Spirits and Tavern

945 Main Avenue, Durango, CO 81301
, (970) 259-5555

Our favorite restaurant! Wonderful food and cocktails. Some of our favorite menu items: Green Mussel Curry (best dish in Durango if you ask Zack) and the KFC (Kentucky Fried Cauliflower). Reservation recommended.

Durango Diner

957 Main Avenue, Durango, CO 81301
, (970) 247-9889

Wonderful breakfast!

Durango Riverwalk

Head down to the river and you will find the riverwalk bike path. It runs the length of the entire town and is a great way to see the Animas river.

Hogs Back Mountain

Ella Vita Ct., Durango, CO 81301

Great ~2.5 mi hike that overlooks Durango. Very steep in sections! The trail head is at the end of Ella Vita Ct. The trail system in this area can get a bit convoluted so I attached a link to a trail map. The map will take you on a nice loop but you can make the hike an out and back by simply going back the way you came after reaching the top of hogsback.

Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa

6475 County Road 203, Durango, CO 81301
, (970) 247-0111

We highly recommend making your way out to Durango Hot Springs. They just renovated and although a bit pricey, it is a wonderfully relaxing place to have a soak. There is a food truck and bar there as well!

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad

3030 Main Avenue, Durango, CO 81301

A beautiful way to see the mountains around Durango. Keep in mind that this is a whole day trip. There is an option to ride the train to Silverton and take a bus back to Durango (recommended). Reservations needed.

Mountain Waters Rafting

303 West College Drive, Durango, CO 81301
, (800) 624-2186

A few hours on the Animas River is a very fun way to spend an afternoon. Reservation needed. There are also many other raft guide companies in Durango if Mountain Waters is booked up.

For all the days along the way
