Our story began at Eckerd College in the Fall of 2018. We lived in the same dorm complex and first crossed paths one evening in the courtyard while Maddy was hanging posters announcing her campaign for dorm senator. Max was sitting at a nearby picnic table with his roommate, Addison, when he called out, “Maddy Morgen for Senator!” That simple moment sparked a conversation, and soon after, we exchanged contact information. Not long after, Max asked Maddy out for a beachside dinner, where he officially asked her to be his girlfriend. Maddy happily said yes, and the rest is history. Since then, we’ve lived in two states—Florida and now Tennessee—and our family has grown to include two beloved fur babies: Macademia, our Siamese cat, and Pistachio, a once-stray momma cat who found her forever home with us. Max proposed to Maddy in Minnesota, her home state, at a family friend’s lake cabin on the Fourth of July in 2024. While all the signs were there, Maddy was truly surprised, thanks to the incredible efforts of everyone involved in keeping the secret. The evening concluded with fireworks, drinks, and a joyful celebration with family and friends—an unforgettable moment we’ll always cherish. Over the years, we’ve shared a love for travel and adventure, exploring new places and creating memories together. Choosing to celebrate our wedding in Mexico felt like a natural extension of that passion, as well as a meaningful nod to our Florida days and our love for the beach. We are so excited to share this special day with our family and friends and to begin this next chapter of our lives together!
