Question

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both take place at Terrapin Hill Farm in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. The reception is within walking distance of the ceremony site, and will not require driving. If you are curious about our venue, please check out their website! It is truly a magical, sacred space that we are ecstatic to share with you all. https://www.terrapinhillfarm.com/

Question

What type of environment will I be in?

Answer

Terrapin Hill is located on the outskirts of Harrodsburg, Kentucky on a beautiful farm owned by Brenda and Pete Cashel. However, the majority of your time, you will be walking on grass or gravel paths. We HIGHLY encourage our guests to wear comfortable shoes that are easy to walk in. Heels may not be comfortable for those who typically wear them at weddings. Keep in mind that the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors. The reception is in a paved pavilion, but it might get colder towards the end of the reception, so you might want to bring a jacket!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We encourage everyone to dress in cocktail attire, a sophisticated look that's dressier than casual wear but less formal than black tie attire. No jeans/ball caps, please. We also encourage guests to dress along with our color scheme, a fun and unique way to create cohesion and unity amongst everyone. However, it is not a requirement! Our color palette is: Terracotta Brown, Rust Red, Dusty Rose Pink, Mustard Yellow, Sage Green, Olive Green, Burgundy Red, Magenta Red, and Burnt Orange (our color palette will be included on the official wedding invitation)!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend the Beaumont Inn, a charming historical inn that was built in 1845 and a 15-minute drive from Terrapin Hill. Attached to the inn is The Owl’s Nest, a cozy pub/restaurant that Ed took Maddie to on their first Valentine’s Day together. It is located at: 638 Beaumont Inn Dr, Harrodsburg, KY 40330. You can find more information at: https://www.beaumontinn.com/ We also recommend the Shaker Village Inn, located at the historical Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill and a 25 minute drive from Terrapin Hill. Attached to the inn is The Trustee’s Table, a farm-to-table restaurant with a rotating seasonal menu. It is located at: 3501 Lexington Rd, Harrodsburg, KY 40330. You can find more information at: https://shakervillageky.org/the-inn/ There are also many hotels in Danville, Kentucky, the home of Centre College, where Maddie and Ed both attended!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Saturday, October 11, 2025. Information regarding this will be available on the wedding invitations (which are expected to go out late August/early September)!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no earlier than 60-minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony. This question will be updated at a later date, closer to the wedding.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let Maddie know as soon as possible! However, we have already made accommodations for those with a gluten allergy, peanut allergy, and individuals with a vegan and/or vegetarian diet.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are not extending plus ones, in order to keep our wedding close-knit. If you have a long-term partner or spouse, they will be invited by name with your wedding invitation. Any exceptions to this will be well-known in advance and communicated. We hope you understand!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Children and/or babies will be invited by name and communicated well in-advance with Maddie and Ed. Please do not bring children and/or babies without prior permission from the Bride and Groom.
