Cydney and Leah have been friends since they were born! Cydney's Father, Bill Williams, and Leah's Father, Steve Machlin, have been friends since they were in middle school. Cydney and Leah are close friends even though they have never lived in the same state. Cydney currently lives New Jersey and Leah lives in North Carolina. But don't let proximity fool you. Cydney and Leah have an amazing long distance friendship and know a dangerous amount about each other. They have very different life goals and interests but there is always a lot of love, hugs and feelings shared. Cydney was the first person Leah called when she was engaged and it was clear she will be the best Maid of Honor. You can expect an amazing Maid of Honor speech at the reception were there may be some happy tears.
Hannah Machlin
Bridesmaid
Hannah is Leah's older sister of three years. They have many funny things in common like being half-asian jewish-women and enjoying fancy food. Like many siblings, they fought throughout childhood and even continue to butt heads. Hannah currently lives in London. Luckily, they stay in touch through messages, memes, streaming accounts, and family vacations. Typically they bond over family events and food. Hannah has been very interested in the style related activities of the wedding so she will be the one that everyone dresses to impress. We expect her to be a very fashionable bridesmaid and dance the night away. Hannah is lead lady in charge for the bachelorette party in Florida.
Isabella Poggi
Bridesmaid
Isabella Poggi is Patrick's older sister. Leah and Isabella bonded very soon after Patrick and Leah first started dating. They enjoyed bringing the family together over home cooked dinners at Marizay's house in Miami. Isabella was always welcoming to Leah which is very special. Isabella is also a big fan of Dmitri, Leah and Patrick's hairless cat. Isabella is known for her love of animals, she is rarely without a dog... or two.... and occasionally three dogs. There is no doubt that this future sister-in-law will be an amazing and supportive bridesmaid.
Sebastian Heri
Best Man
Sebastian and Patrick have been friends since middle school in Greenville, South Carolina where their shared love of juvenile humor, the internet and their mothers’ cooking first led to a friendship that would last well beyond their time in the sunshine state. Patrick went to boarding school and Sebastian moved to Spain, meaning the two friends spent time together during their holidays. Whether it was snorkeling in the Bahamas, traveling through Spain or discovering the magical land of Azeroth, many of Sebastian’s fondest memories include Patrick and hopefully the two will be fortunate enough to share many more moments in the years to come.
Alejandro Poggi
Groomsman
Alejandro is Patrick's younger brother by one year. They have a lot in common such as being software developers and having half-korean fiances! Growing up, Patrick would typically win a round of squabbling. But don't fear, Alejandro was creative and mischievous enough to retaliate. Alejandro was engaged to his fiance Reann Hansen a couple months following Patrick and Leah's engagement. They stay in touch over the phone by talking endless about programming, family, or the new thing one of them is very passionate about. He will make an excellent groomsmen as he also looks forward to his own wedding.
Vikram Sethuraman
Groomsman
Vikram is the founder of PT Wired, a software startup in Durham. By a stroke of extremely good luck, Vikram met Patrick through on an online job posting at the beginning of 2018. Since then, Vikram and Patrick have worked tirelessly as CEO and CTO to make PT Wired a very successful startup in a short period of time. Through the countless hours they've spent together as the two full-time employees of the company, they've gone from 1 customer to 100+ customers, coffee shops to a fancy downtown WeWork setup, and recently reached profitability for the first time. Vikram is a wonderful groomsman to help Patrick celebrate his wedding.
