Maid of Honor
Sister of the bride! Longest, but farthest-away friend now, but she's always there to cheer me up, give me advice on anything I need, and help me through crazy wedding planning. A great role model for a successful, loving marriage and incomparable travel companion.
Best Man
Groom's best friend since first grade. Grew up more like brothers than friends--if Kyle wasn't home as a kid, he was probably at Jake's house. Jake almost prevented this wedding by making Lucy switch seats with him in 8th grade Language Arts so he could sit by Kyle. (They got in trouble and Lucy ended up back by Kyle.)
Bridesmaid
Best friend of the bride since 8th grade! Always around for boy advice, weird adventures, first drinks--and when Lucy told her she had a crush on Kyle in 8th grade, Lara's response was "Me too!" and they were excited to have the same crush... Both agree this has worked out for the better.
Groomsman
Best friend of the groom since middle school. Always up for a trip to Menchie's for fro-yo. Has been planning this bachelor party since Kyle and Lucy met.
Bridesmaid
Sister of the groom! Has been asking Lucy about this wedding since sharing a bedroom at the lake in 2011. Proudly was invited over to Lucy's house in high school before Kyle was invited over.
Groomsman
Best friend of the groom since first grade and grew up playing hockey together. They lived together in college and Kyle taught him how to shave. Now, Daniel's beard is twice as thick, but he still lovingly refers to the bride and groom as 'Mom and Dad.'
Bridesmaid
Best friend of the bride since August 19, 1995...the day she was born! Exactly 24 years later, Lucy shared that for her birthday, she got Sydney a brother. The two have been planning for this wedding for about just as long, planning their very own Disney princess weddings.
Groomsman
Best friend of the groom since middle school. Grew up playing football in Eric's backyard. Always available for a good country concert and beer. Eric taught Kyle how to play hockey.
Officiant
Brother of the bride! Made sure Lucy was a well-rounded kid by teaching her how to play football...in the house. Now, he teaches her how to own a house and has been a great role model for a successful, loving marriage. He's always been there for advice and gave Kyle "the big brother talk," in high school. On September 26, 2020, he'll give the final Big Brother Seal of Approval.
