This is where Kyle proposed. The Old Mission Lighthouse was built in 1870 and you can walk all the way to the top. It's on a short, walkable beach where you can look out onto Lake Michigan.
Old Mission Peninsula is scattered with wineries with a variety of delicious wines and food and gorgeous food. Our favorites: 2 Lads, Chateau Chantal, Chateau Grand Traverse, and Mari.
Leelanau Peninsula is about 30 miles long and has as many wineries to fill the space. The only downside is that you need more time to go up and down the peninsula since it's so long, but it's very much worth it. Our favorites: Good Harbor Vineyards, Shady Lane Cellars, Nathaniel Rose Wine, French Valley Vineyards, and if you like bubbly, Mawby Vineyards.
Grand Traverse Lighthouse was opened in 1852 and offers another beautiful view of Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay.
