Flight
Seattle Tacoma (SEA) is the nearest major airport. From here you will either need to travel by rental car or shuttle bus to the Anacortes ferry terminal. Alternative airports include Everett, Bellingham, and Vancouver, Canada.
Rental Car
The easiest way to get to (and around) Orcas Island is via rental car and ferry. It's a 2-ish hour drive to the Anacortes Ferry terminal and a 1 hour gorgeous ferry ride from there. Don't worry - driving on to the ferry is a breeze!
Travel Note
A public shuttle bus from Sea-Tac Airport to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal is an alternative option to renting a car. You will take the shuttle to the ferry terminal and walk on to the ferry. Once you arrive at the Orcas Island ferry terminal you will need to take a shuttle bus or taxi to Eastsound (or wherever you are staying). For more information go to www.orcashuttle.com.
Travel Note
Please note that the ferries often book up in advance in the summer. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you make a reservation in advance if you plan on driving to Orcas Island. 30% of the reservations are available starting 7AM PT on Tuesday, April 25. 30% is released 2 weeks before each sailing date at 7AM, and the final 30% is released 2 days before each sailing date at 7AM (10% is reserved for emergency vehicles). We will send out messages reminding you of these deadlines, but please don't forget to book your spot on the ferry! More information on how to book can be found on the FAQ page. The link to the ferry reservations is below.
Flight
If time is of essence or you just want a truly pacific northwest experience (and have some money to spare), consider taking a Kenmore Air flight directly from Seattle to Orcas Island. The two main options are: 1) Seaplane from Lake Union in Seattle to Deer Harbor, Rosario Resort, or West Sound (all 3 on Orcas Island). 2) Charter Flight from Boeing Field Airport to Eastsound Airport.
Hotel
The Outlook Inn is the location of the ceremony and reception. The Inn is centrally located in downtown Eastsound and many of the rooms have excellent views of the water.
Hotel
Rosario Resort is an excellent alternative option for accommodations. 15 minutes from Eastsound, this historic resort has been a quintessential PNW getaway for more than a half century.

If rustic and off the grid (with a side of clothing-optional hot tubs) is more your speed, then Doe Bay Resort & Retreat is the answer. This quirky PNW gem has accommodations ranging from campgrounds to yurts to deluxe cabins, along with an excellent vegetarian-focused cafe and live music performances from national-touring artists.
House Or Rental
There are many excellent options on airbnb and vrbo.
