This is Tyler and I's favorite coffee shop in all of Fort Collins. Pop in for a cup of coffee at either the Old Town location or the location on Laurel right across from CSU campus. My favorite is the house blend but if you like a cinnamon flavored coffee, try the Jazzy Java which is Tyler's favorite!
This is an iconic hike in Fort Collins (you can see the "horse's tooth" from just about everywhere in town) and one of our very favorites. It's a moderate hike that will take you probably about 3-4 hours, but it's beautiful and a great way to spend the day! If you're feeling like a little less strenuous hike, you can take the same start of the trail and go towards Horsetooth Falls which will lead you to a small waterfall. That is a fairly easy hike and will probably only take about 1-1.5 hours round trip.
One of our favorite local patios and the food is delicious!
If you're looking for big, cheap and delicious drinks, try The Bar District. But be careful, they're strong!
The New Belgium Brewery is a staple in Fort Collins and also where we will be hosting our rehearsal dinner! They offer free tours of the brewery with beer samples (woohoo!) and they also have a beautiful garden area with beer, games, and food trucks. If the weather permits, this is a great place to hang out and spend a few hours.
The Spring Creek Trail is our favorite biking trail in Fort Collins. It runs east to west across town and is heavily shaded. Fort Collins is a great place to ride bikes because it's mostly flat so if you're looking for a great day, check out the Pace bike rental program and hop on this trail!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Fort Collins! The food is delicious and the price tag is very reasonable. Pop in here for lunch and then take a walk around Old Town! And if you're not quite full, walk across the street to Walrus Ice Cream and grab a nice cool treat!
The Exchange contains a few restaurants and bars and has a nice little grassy area to hang out. Grab some ice cream from Churn (which is owned by the same people as Little Man Ice Cream in Denver), a donut from FocoDoco or a glass of wine at Penrose.
Take a little stroll through the Oval or check out the new on campus stadium. CSU campus is beautiful and is a lovely place to hang out in the summer when all the students are gone. Get up early and grab a cup of coffee from Mugs on Laurel and head over to the Oval for a nice stroll and see why CSU was named Tree Campus USA!
Old Town is a must see in Fort Collins. Here you'll find a huge variety of shops, restaurants and bars. Our favorites along here are Comet Chicken, Austin's American Grill, RARE for happy hour, CooperSmiths for drinks and pool, Ace Gilettes or Social for a speakeasy type bar or Lucky Joe's for an easy going bar. There are tons of other places we love though so take a walk around and decide what looks best to you! You can't go wrong. This is also where the Elizabeth Hotel is located.
There are three bars and 1 restaurant in this hotel and all are worthy of a visit. The emporium is located south of the lobby and has a nice bar and a restaurant. Here you can pick out your own bottle of wine from their huge selection and they'll cork it for you. The Magic Rat is on the north side of the lobby and they have live jazz usually Wednesday - Saturday evenings but you can check the schedule online. If you go through the Magic Rat to the back, an elevator will take you to the third bar called the Sunset Lounge. It's the best rooftop bar in Fort Collins and they also have live jazz certain nights of the week.
Sally's Kitchen is a bit of a hidden gem up here. It's a Chinese Restaurant located in the Corner Store Gas Station in South Fort Collins... I know it sounds weird, but give it a try and you won't be disappointed! Keep in mind that this place is BUSY so if you want dinner, either call ahead or prepare for a bit of a wait!
A speakeasy style bar located underground with delicious cocktails and a charming vibe. Definitely a popular bar in Old Town so you might have to wait at the door, but it's worth it!
Hands down the best BBQ in town!
Very good Mexican food with a salsa bar and great happy hour margaritas!
The cutest drive-in movie theater there ever was! There are two screens each showing two movies back to back. You just pull in your car, tune your radio to the right station and you are set to go! This is a fun Fort Collins tradition and a great way to spend a weekend. And the best part is that it's very affordable, costing only $7.00 for two movies.
This little sandwich shop is a Fort Collins original and one of our favorites! It's right across the street from campus and they have the biggest selection of sandwiches I've ever seen! They also have a delicious gluten free sub. Pop in for lunch but be prepared to wait a little while because they tend to be very busy during the lunch rush!
RARE is right in the heart of Old Town and they have a delicious menu. While prices here are a little higher, try popping in for great happy hour deals!
Austin's is also right in the heart of Old Town and right across the street from RARE. Their prices are a bit more reasonable and their rotisserie meats are their speciality! Try sitting out on the patio to catch the vibrant night life of Old Town Fort Collins.
Whether you're looking to stay in for the evening or for a good late night snack, consider ordering pizza from our favorite pizza shop in foco (and that's saying something because there are a heck of a lot of options up here). They also have an AMAZING gluten free crust! Try them out, you won't be disappointed!
This place is a Fort Collins breakfast favorite known for their cinnamon rolls. They serve a nice hearty breakfast and have options for everyone. But if you're trying to go to breakfast on a weekend day, be prepared for a bit of a wait as this is a very popular restaurant!
