Things To Do

Welcome to Colorado Springs! This was our home for the past two years and there is so much we'd love to share with you. Here are a few of our recommendations. Please reach out to us for any other food recommendations, activities, or hiking trails.
Cheyenne Mountain State Park

Cheyenne Mountain State Park

410 JL Ranch Heights Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80926

This is our venue but there are many trails in the park, for dogs and humans, that you can explore on your own time. There is also an archery range within the park.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80906

One of the best zoos in the country! It's a hike and a place to see animals. They do also allow you to get up close and feed the giraffes. Zephyr and Winnie sure loved it (dog days are only offered on exclusive dates).

Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods

1805 N. 30th Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80904

A natural landmark in the heart of Colorado Springs consisting of several sandstone rocks. There are several trails to walk along the formations and some areas where you can walk on the rocks. The park itself is free to access.

U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum

U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum

200 South Sierra Madre Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80903

A great place for families! A new museum near downtown to celebrate Olympic achievements and test your own athleticism in their interactive areas. Usually there are deals for tickets on Groupon.

Pikes Peak Cog Railway Station

Pikes Peak Cog Railway Station

Barr Trail, Cascade, CO 80809

If you're really inclined, you can hike up to Pikes Peak via The Incline and Barr Trails. Or take the Cog Railway up and down the mountain. You will need to reserve a spot on the train ahead of time if you are wanting to go that route.

Cave of the Winds Mountain Park

Cave of the Winds Mountain Park

100 Cave of the Winds Road, Manitou Springs, CO 80829

You can take a guided walking tour through this cave in Manitou Springs. They also have a ropes and obstacle course for kids.

Manitou Cliff Dwellings

Manitou Cliff Dwellings

10 Cliff Road, Manitou Springs, CO 80829

Similar to the dwellings in Mesa Verde National Park, these cliff dwellings were a part of Native American culture in Colorado. They do have tours and allow you to walk into the dwellings.

The Broadmoor Seven Falls

The Broadmoor Seven Falls

1045 Lower Gold Camp Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80905

A natural wonder in the Broadmoor area! Be mindful there are many stairs to see all 7 waterfalls. Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time on their website.

Old Colorado City

A historic neighborhood in Colorado Springs that is quaint and small town charm.

Manitou Springs

Manitou Springs
