FAQs

The Wedding Website of Vivian Zeng and Lucas Benish
We have not arranged all the details of the wedding at this time. If you have any other questions other than what is listed below, you may email us at lukeandviv920@gmail.com.
Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

At this time we cannot provide transportation from any particular place. There is lack of reliable public transportation in Colorado Springs and a car is highly recommended. You may also be able to get around via Uber or Lyft. Carpooling is highly encouraged to the venue.

Question

Does Cheyenne Mountain State Park require admission fees?

Answer

Typically, yes, but for our wedding days, all park admission are included.

Question

Is there parking available at Cheyenne Mountain State Park?

Answer

Yes, there is a large parking lot for 85 cars at the Prairie Skipper Pavilion. Though unlikely, any vehicles beyond the allotted amount will be charged individually and will need to find parking in an overflow lot (trailhead) and walk to the event location.

Question

When is the reception?

Answer

The reception will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. We have access to the Pavilion from 9:00am to 9:00pm, however, the park is open from 5:00am to 10:00pm if you wish to explore the park on your own. We just ask you please don't hang at the Pavilion until just before reception time (3:45pm) as we will be setting up prior.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For the reception, the dress code is dressy casual/ semi-formal attire. However, we advise you dress comfortably and in appropriate shoes that will enable you to walk on uneven terrain and loose gravel. We also recommend bringing additional layers in case we experience inclement weather. Colorado is typically around 60 F in late September during the day but will likely drop to the 40 F at night.

Question

Do I need to be worried about elevation?

Answer

Cheyenne Mountain State Park is in Colorado Springs, which is about 6000ft elevation. However, if you wish to explore the area, or plan to join us for the hike, elevation could increase to 9000ft. For anyone traveling from out of state, at any increased elevation we recommend drinking plenty of water (much more than you think) to avoid altitude sickness. Alcohol consumption will also have an increased response, so please consume responsibly. The atmosphere is also much thinner so we highly recommend wearing sunscreen even with overcast skies.

Question

Will we see wildlife?

Answer

We may! Elk, deer, turkeys, and prairie dogs frequent the area. Though not often seen, predators like the black bear, bobcat, and mountain lion inhabit the park. In the event that a bear does enter the vicinity please help us to secure any food sitting out inside a nearby vehicle.

Question

Are furbabies invited?

Answer

We kindly ask for your furbabies to remain at home for our special day. We will have Zephyr and Winnie in our celebration and they can fill the void if needed.

For all the days along the way
