Wedding Party

Allison Lubarsky

Maid of Honor

I have had the pleasure (well, most of the time) of being Emily Lubarsky's big sister for her entire life. In fact, there's a good percentage of the wedding party whom I have happily included in my reign of big sister terror over the years (so sorry!). Karma had its way, and Alex's addition to our family brought things full circle, as I was woefully unprepared for the tricks of a brother. Emily has always been my favorite person to have fun with, and Alex only adds to our adventures. We couldn't be more thrilled to be celebrating them together in June!

Eric McIntosh

Best Man

I met Alex, one 1/2 of the"DAMN Quinn twins", through Bishop Miege High School Wrestling. Through our time wrestling and high school we and our families had become very close. After High School Alex and I stayed very close while going our own ways. We practically lived at 24 hour fitness and we would have many good nights walking down to Westport and enjoy the night life there. Alex and His brother Andy have always been brothers to me. I got to meet Emily at the "Other DAMN Quinn twin" wedding in Maui Hawaii and we had an absolute great experience and time of becoming friends. I am glad to be apart of this unification of two absolute good peeps.

I am one of Alex's little sisters. I remember the first time Alex told me about Emily! He came home one morning after work and was telling me he met a girl. He told my mom and "I saw this girl and she started talking to me...TO ME, I was so surprised such a beautiful girl wanted to talk to me and get to know me...so we went on a few dates and now I am going to visit her in Texas." At first my mom and I freaked out because we were like what if she is a serial killer. Here we are about 5 years later. Well Emily...were so glad you turned out NOT to be a serial killer, and we are so happy and proud to welcome you into our family. My brother has never seemed so happy and you have brought a light into our family that is like no other. We love you lots and wish you both a lifetime of happiness.

Man, I met Alex on Unit 64 at KU when he was a young pup in nursing school! We would have some good conversations on long nights at work, on top of the long nights out on the town! Good times together include going to the Dominican Republic, Spring Break at Panama City Beach, and the time we decided to wake his family up in the middle of the night to order Chiefs tickets probably 10 hours before the game... I'm glad I had him as a partner to help me get dive certified and am proud to have him as a friend.

I've only known 4 (dreadfully lonely) weeks of my life without Emily. Our moms are best friends and being born a month apart, we were destined (or doomed?) to become best friends too. We didn't go to the same school, but we'd talk on the phone throughout the week and write letters back and forth. I still have a box of letters from Emily... some of them even start with "we just hung up, but I wanted to tell you..." With our history, it's easy to describe our friendship as family. In our adulthood, Emily still encourages me to embrace the whimsical side of life. I am beyond happy that Emily has found a man as kind as Alex ( plus, he plays a mean guitar). As a couple they truly balance each other, support and protect one another. I can't wait to see where life takes them.

Emily and I met in the first grade. I was the new student and Emily's outgoing personality sparked a friendship that has lasted over 23 years. Growing up with Emily was a blast; from Girl Scouts, to baton lessons, to softball, we did it all. We loved sledding on snow days, having sleepovers, and combining our birthday parties (shoutout to the best super sweet 16 ever!). Because we lived close to each other, we would walk between our houses, stroll to middle school together, and ride with her (very cool) older sister to high school as freshman. We both went on to attend the University of Kansas where we enjoyed cheering on the Jayhawks. Our friendship has persisted through the thick and thin of life; I can't wait for the next major milestones!

Bridesmaid

I met Emily in middle school. We remained best friends during high school because our lockers were by each other. We spent 4 years gossiping nonstop. We bonded over science classes, theater, messy lockers and bad handwriting. I love that she has found a way to do everything she wanted to do. She wanted to teach, so she did TFA. She wanted to study marine biology so she went to the Galapagos. She wanted to be a lawyer, so she went to law school. I admire her for being multi-passionate and not getting lost along the way. We haven't lived in the same city in over 10 years, but we are as close as ever. The people who know you inside and out, who you can pick up with like its been hours, not months, those people are soul mates. While Alex and Emily are meant to be, Emily and I are soul-sisters.

Bridesmaid

I first met Emily at Kindergarten orientation! We became fast friends and stayed close all throughout school and college. Through all the devolving and then eventual evolving stages of our lives, we were together! One highlight of our friendship is when I proposed to Emily by the plaza fountain. All of our friends were in on it, I bought a ring, and surprise proposed to the love of my life and she said YES! And then a few years later she replaced me with the actual love of her life - ENTER ALEX QUINN. I have loved watching their love grow over the years. Emily is an incredibly special person and I would not be who I am today without her. She, of all people, deserves to have such a wonderful man like Alex. I am so excited to witness their union and then to see their next steps in life!

Groomsman

It's hard to believe that Alex and I met 6 years ago at KU Med. In fact, he was one of the people who trained me. When I first started, I wasn't really thinking about who I would be friends with or would have an impact on my life. But Alex became one of my closest friends while working there, and despite us living in different states for half of that time, our friendship withstood the distance. I have been very fortunate to have Alex and Emily as friends. While I haven't known Emily for nearly as long, her kindness and generosity was apparent the day we met. It has been a delight getting to watch these two grow in their relationship and I'm so excited for them to be finally tying the knot!

Kayla Hein

Bridesmaid

I am a mama to 2 beautiful babies (Graham and Reese) and living the country life in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I first met Emily when we were in the 9th grade. She was outgoing and bubbly and I was her biggest fan girl. I eventually tricked her into becoming my best friend and we’ve been having shenanigans ever since. We enjoy long nights of girl talk, hard cider, double stuffed Oreos, and Cheetos (the puffy kind...) Oh wait, is this supposed to be about Alex and Emily’s relationship... umm...😳.But in all seriousness, me and Em go way back and I have never seen he as happy as she is with Alex. Can't wait to get these two hitched!!
