The hotel and wedding venue are on the river. We'd highly recommend taking a walk along the river where there are plenty of cafes and bars to stop at along the way!
Our favorite tourist attraction! Book tickets a head of time. But, it picks up right by the hotel and is an amazing time.
A free zoo (and a really large park) across from the lake! If you have the time, it is worth walking around and catching the views of the city from the park.
Lucky for you, the Cubs are in town our wedding weekend. Both Friday and Saturday they play at 1:20PM. The stadium is about a mile from the welcome party and easily accessible via the L from the hotel blocks.
We would recommend getting a drink here on the balcony. It is inside of the Chicago. Take the elevator to grab a drink on the balcony and enjoy views of the Bean and Lake Michigan.
Delicious Mediterranean food, close to the welcome party.
A great brunch place with a cool view of the river. Reservations recommended.
A fun, mainly outdoor, restaurant with good drinks and food. Close to the welcome party venue. They do not take reservations and it fills up quickly, so get there early!
Our favorite of the Chicago deep dish places and it is close to where we will be doing our welcome party. WARNING: it is a lot of food and you will probably need a reservation!
Close to the hotel and welcome party, great place for breakfast.
For the college football fans, we are really sorry for taking away your college football Saturday. There is almost definitely a bar specific to whatever team you are rooting for, but here are some places we'd recommend going to watch the games by the hotel blocks before our wedding.
Not near the wedding venue, but Ryan's favorite wings and a good sports bar. Right by the welcome party location.
