He has lived in Key Largo for over 30 years and is very familiar with the area. The properties are listed on various rental sites, but going direct will likely save you $$ and may make your search easier. Many of the condos he manages are in Kawama Yacht Club, which is ~1 mile from the venue. You can call him and describe what you are looking for, and he can provide options. Note that Norman is very talkative and tells lots of jokes… so be ready. He has a few negative reviews on certain properties, but also many positive ones. A few guests have already booked with him. - Alex Bravo: Ocean Pointe Suites Ocean Point Suites are a very interesting option for our guests! There are >100 privately owned condos overlooking the Atlantic Ocean set on a private 60-acre oceanfront sanctuary. Includes private beach, pool, tennis courts, etc. Located ~ 7 miles from our venue. We have coordinated special pricing for our event: - Standard one bedroom (either partial or ocean view) $189 nightly +taxes/fees - Standard two bedroom (either partial or ocean view) $212 nightly + taxes/fees This pricing will be available from December 4th to December 9th 2025, in the event our guests want to extend their stay or come early. This pricing will remain active until October 6th, 2025 or until sold out of the standard one or two bedroom units. Minimum 2-night stay, and cancelation up to 7 days prior. To book, call the property directly at 305.853.3000 and ask to speak to Alex Bravo. Tell him that you are booking for the Thompson/Sigtermans wedding. He has also provided his direct number 786.490.9076 if you have any issues. (I recommend you book with him directly as he is very willing to coordinate his knowledge of the better units and also putting groups near each other.)

There are a variety of short term rentals available very close to our venue. These are likely easiest to find via AIRBNB and VRBO. Below are two examples that a few guests have already booked, but there are many options including homes and condos. Various condos available, located ~2 miles from our venue. We do not have a contact with this property.

Courtyard Marriott Key Largo

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Courtyard Marriott Key Largo, which is one mile from our venue. The daily rate is $219 for Standard view and $239 for Marina view. This is an approximate 10% discount from published on-line rates if you are not pre-paying. The terms are that you must provide a credit card at booking and the room will be charged 3 days prior to check-in and at that point, it is non-refundable. You must call 855.335.1066 to book and reference “Thompson/Sigtermans WRB”. This rate is good through November 4, 2025.

Located ~4.5 miles from venue. This is a high-end waterfront hotel including a full service spa and on-property restaurants. If you book online directly, the rates start around $550 plus a $40 resort fee.

Seafarer Resort and Beach

This is a cute but VERY RUSTIC group of cottages located ~2 miles from our venue. There are only 14 cottages with various floorpans (queen, 2 doubles, one bedroom, two bedrooms.). They were not able to provide special pricing for Friday or Saturday night as they always fully sell out on weekends. However, they are providing 15% off the “guaranteed lowest rate” before or after these two nights. Pricing starts at $168 per night for a queen room and go up slightly from there. Would be great for groups of the younger generation!

Holiday Inn Key Largo, an IHG Hotel

Located ~1 mile from our venue. This property is located adjacent to the Courtyard and has similar pricing, but we liked the Courtyard better to offer our guests. However if Holiday Inn is your preference, you can book directly and ask for the “sunset beach weddings” rate. We are not aware of what this discount might be.

Marina Del Mar Resort & Marina

Located ~1 mile from our venue. We did not coordinate special pricing, although similar to the Holiday Inn, they do offer special pricing for our venue. When booking, ask for the Sunset Beach Wedding rate. This is a basic hotel and in our view, not as nice as some of the other offerings but the rates are cheaper.
