We are getting married!

First came school grade crushes, then came love, and now here comes marriage! We met in grade school and shared secret crushes for one another. After we graduated high school, we didn't anticipate our paths crossing again. That changed when our friend circles grew to overlap. We both were interested in learning where life had taken each of us. Our first date was at an ice cream shop and it was awkward, to say the least. Luckily, we gave it another shot. Since then, we have gone on many adventures together, learned more about one another, and have fallen in love. We started officially dating the day after valentines day when Lisset finally decided X was the one for her. We are excited to take this next step in becoming husband and wife. Primero fue el enamoramiento en la primaria, luego vino el amor, ¡y ahora viene el matrimonio! Nos conocimos en la escuela primaria y compartíamos un amor secreto el uno por el otro. Cuando terminamos el secundario, no esperábamos que nuestros caminos se volvieran a cruzar. Eso cambió cuando nuestros círculos de amigos empezaron a coincidir. A los dos nos interesaba saber adónde nos había llevado la vida a cada uno. Nuestra primera cita fue en una heladería y fue, como mínimo, incómoda. Afortunadamente, volvimos a intentarlo. Desde entonces, hemos vivido muchas aventuras juntos, hemos aprendido más el uno del otro y nos hemos enamorado. Empezamos a salir oficialmente el día después de San Valentín, cuando Lisset decidió que X era su pareja. Estamos muy contentos de dar el siguiente paso para convertirnos en marido y mujer.

We moved into our first place together and didn't know what to anticipate. It wasn't as much of an adjustment since we were already spending as much time as we could together. One of our funny memories is that we didn't have a TV stand for almost 4 months and used the box the TV came in until we found one worthy. It took two tries, both of which X assembled. Luckily, he only had to disassemble one of them once. Read the dimensions, ladies! Nos mudamos juntos a nuestro primer lugar y no sabíamos qué esperar. No fue un gran ajuste ya que estábamos pasando todo el tiempo que podíamos juntos. Uno de nuestros recuerdos divertidos es que no tuvimos un soporte de TV durante casi 4 meses y usamos la caja en la que vino el televisor hasta que encontramos uno digno. Tomó dos intentos, ambos ensamblados por X. Por suerte, solo tuvo que desmontar uno de ellos una vez. ¡Lean las dimensiones, señoras!

Xavier proposed at Sylvan Rodriguez Park on a beautiful spring day. He surprised Lisset with a picnic and then with the question, "Will you marry me?". It was just the two of us and we wouldn't have had it any other way. What a momentous day. We both wonder how it will compare to the big day!
