Their story began in 2019 when Meg and John met in Wausau, WI, during their first week of medical school. It was a love story that started on the day of their white coat ceremony - for Meg at least - when she disclosed her crush to a close friend. Over that first semester, Meg and John grew closer. After three attempts asking John to be her boyfriend, he never said yes. Rather, a month or so after Meg's final attempt, John casually referred to her as his girlfriend. COVID brought them even closer. They spent their second semester of medical school isolating together at Camp David, the Feemster family’s lakeside paradise. Following their social isolation, they moved in together—with Meg's dog Oakley, of course—for the remainder of medical school. After his intern year, John proposed on the beach of Siesta Key, Florida. Meg was truly surprised and couldn't have been more ecstatic to say, yes! Now, their love story continues over long distance as John is completing his residency in neurology in Baltimore, MD, while Meg completes her plastic and reconstructive surgery training in Springfield, IL. To make sure Oakley wasn't lonely between their hectic schedules, they got their dog and dog for residency, and welcomed Wanda into their lives. Outside work, they love eating good food, listening to live music, and traveling together. They look forward to celebrating the start of their next chapter and the many adventures to come!
