There are numerous airports that you can fly into and then travel the remaining miles by car or shuttle: Telluride Regional Airport (TEX): 15 minute drive Montrose-Telluride Regional Airport (MTJ): 1.25 hour drive Cortez, Colorado (CEZ): 1.5 hour drive Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT): 2.5 hour drive Durango-La Plata Regional Airport (DRO): 2.5 hour drive Gunnison, CO (GUC): 2.5 hour drive Moab, Utah (CNY): 2.75 hour drive Albuquerque, NM (ABQ): 5.5 hour drive Denver, CO (DEN): 6 hour drive Telluride Express offers shuttles from TEX, MJT, CEZ, GJT and DRO airports. We have included additional information for the three closest airports to Telluride below.
Flight
Boutique Air has flights to Telluride from Denver, Phoenix and Page, Arizona. Once you arrive at the airport you are only 10-15 minutes away from downtown Telluride. Rental cars are available at the Telluride Airport, as well as a number of shuttle and ground transportation companies that offer services to/from Telluride.

The Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) is the primary airport for Telluride, a scenic 65 miles, or an hour + drive away. Rental cars are available at the Montrose Airport, as well as a number of shuttle and ground transportation services to/from Telluride.

The Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) is another commonly used airport for Telluride. On a recent trip we flew in here and drove a very straight forward and scenic 2.5 hours to Telluride (the drive was exceptionally easy-- we promise) Rental cars are available at the Grand Junction Airport, and you can also arrange a shuttle pickup through Telluride Express.
Rental Car
Hertz and Budget operate out of the Telluride Regional Airport. If you don't want to rent a car a number of shuttle companies are available, however we suggest Telluride Express and we are currently working out a discount price with them. Please check back for those details soon. For shuttles please make sure to book your reservation in advance.

Telluride has tons of houses and condos at different sizes and price points for rent-- and AirBnB is a great resource to book them through. This is also a good option if you want to link up with other guests and do a rental together. While things slow down in early October we still suggest you book any housing sooner rather than later.
