Explore this 2.4-mile out-and-back trail near Idaho Springs, Colorado. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. This is a very popular area for cross-country skiing, fishing, and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are April through October.
Evergreen Golf Course is Denver’s mountain jewel. At 7,220 feet, this 18-hole executive course sits along Bear Creek. Rolling hills and fairways lined with pine trees make this an affordable mountain golf experience just a short drive from the city. Clear Creek starts its steep descent of the Rocky Mountains at the nearby Continental Divide. The Georgetown Loop Railroad was one of Colorado’s first visitor attractions. Completed in 1884, this spectacular stretch of three-foot narrow gauge railroad was considered an engineering marvel for its time. This is a ride to remember! The beauty of the rugged Rocky Mountains surrounds you as our old-time steam locomotive or one of our powerful diesel locomotives winds up the Clear Creek canyon. Pass by remains of gold and silver mines and breathtaking views along the line, in fully enclosed and open cars. Great family fun for kids of all ages. Duration is 2-3 hours.
