I-70 Construction Information

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE! Major I-70 West delays begin Monday, Aug 12 at Evergreen Parkway Exit #252. We suggest taking alternate routes to Evergreen avoiding I-70 during this construction project. Drivers along Interstate 70 West of Denver near Evergreen will face 20-minute stops, then follow-on delays lasting up to 45 minutes, starting Monday, Aug 12th as highway construction contractors blast rocks to build a parking lot. There will be no detours. The detonations will happen between 9 AM- 3 PM. Drivers headed west on I-70 will be stopped before Exit 252 for Evergreen Parkway at a point between Exits 254 and 256. Travelers can check traffic conditions by texting “floydhill” to 21000 to receive CDOT emails about the project, by visiting the following website (codot.gov/projects/i70floydhill), or by calling 720-994-2368.

Denver International Airport is the closest airport to Evergreen, CO. The venue is located 66 miles west of the airport.

Do I Need to Rent a Car?
Answer
We will be providing transportation from the Comfort Suites Hotel to the wedding venue on our wedding day, and you should be able to get a Uber/Lyft from the airport to your lodging. However, Ubers are very limited in Evergreen and are not a reliable method of transportation so we'd recommend renting a car if you plan to explore!

What is the attire for the wedding?
Answer
Dress to impress! Guests are encouraged to wear semi-formal or cocktail attire. We suggest that men wear a suit in any color or a nice jacket. Women may wear a dress of any length or dressy separates.

What will the weather be like in Evergreen?
Answer
Although it will be summer, it often cools down after sunset in the mountains, so be sure to bring a light jacket or shawl for the evenings.

What is the elevation in Evergreen?
Answer
7,220 feet. Evergreen is located at a higher elevation, so be sure to drink LOTS of water throughout your visit, and remember that one drink may feel like two at this altitude.
