Passport Expiration !

If you are traveling from outside of Mexico, to be safe please make sure that your passport expires after May 2026. The 6-month passport rule states that your passport must be valid another six months before your depart for international travel.

Flight

Cancún International Airport

If you're traveling from outside of Mexico, we highly recommend flying into Cancun International Airport and then taking a bus to Mérida. While you can rent a car at the airport, we suggest using the bus for your safety and convenience, and renting a car once you arrive in Mérida. For those coming from within Mexico, booking a direct flight to Mérida is the best option for a hassle-free travel experience.

Train

ADO

ADO is the bus service that can take you from Cancun International Airport to Mérida. We recommend booking your tickets in advance through their website for better prices and to avoid any delays in Cancun. The ride takes approximately 4-5 hours, and there are two arrival points in Mérida: one in the city center and another in the northern part of the city. Be sure to choose the arrival point that is most convenient for your hotel or Airbnb location.
