Activities & Food in Westlake Village Area
In case you're itching for other active things to do, there are lots of activities nearby, that we used to like doing up in the Bay Area! Activities & Food: - Farmer's Market is on Sunday, near the Hyatt at 2797 Agoura Rd, from 7am-1pm - The Stonehaus (Biergarten) is similar to Alpine Inn in Palo Alto! - Westlake Yoga Co has many classes throughout the weekend that you can drop into with a newcomer's special (it's one of the cleanest yoga studios we've been to)! P.S. Farrah may want to join you! - Boulderdash is walking distance & has day passes for those who like to rock climb! - SkyZone Trampoline Park for those who want to practice their aerial flips :) best to go on a weekday - K-1 Speed Indoor go-karts for a short zip around the track - Underwood Family Farms has interactive animal center & farmers market - And of course, tons of local hiking trails! Please keep an eye out for rattlers though during July and sweep for ticks at the end of your hike!
West LA Favorites
If you're going to be in West LA a bit longer, here are some of our favorite hangout spots: 1. Alana's coffeeshop, Venice beach - great outdoor vibes! Thanks, Sarah Marie, for finding it for us 2. Bluey's, Santa Monica - fun, casual outdoor brunch spot 3. The Butcher, the Baker, and the Cappuccino maker - an upscale brunch spot with delicious eats and colorful lattes. 4. House of Bread, open until 3pm except Mondays. Our daily go to bread shop for fresh sourdough, challah on Fridays, and other baked treats. 5. Holmby Park - grab a latte from coffee cart guy on the weekends, after 10am! 6. Sawtelle - a walking strip that's a couple of blocks long and packed with delicious Asian restaurants. We're still eating our way down the block! Some favorites include Marugame and Seoul Tofu
Malibu Creek State Park
A favorite nature relief spot near to LA! We love to either grab Ike's sandwiches on the way (Leila loves the Menage a trios) or Philz coffee after (Amie loves the Mint Mojito), you'll be hiking like we do :D.
Moody Rooster
Even after traveling all over North America, this still stands out as one of our favorite restaurants. Thanks Farrah and Steve for introducing us! Definitely order the gnocchi, potentially as a shareable appetizer.
