September in Camarillo / Thousand Oaks is generally in the high 70’s to high 50’s in the evenings. The temperature range can vary significantly, depending on if a heat wave (~100 to 90 degrees @4pm) or a cold spell drops in. Check before you leave to plan better. For those staying closer to the ocean, the temperatures are likely to drop a bit more.
Our wedding ceremony will take place outside, and our reception will be inside an open red barn. We suggest you bring a warm jacket or shawl for the evening of the wedding just in case!
There is free parking at the venue. Follow the instructions on google maps to find the entrance, and you will be directed to the parking lot onsite. It will also be easy for you to collect extra layers from the car should it cool down more than expected in the evening.
Semi-formal wear. Men typically wear a suit and women wear dresses which can be shorter than floor-length formal gowns.
The ceremony will be on lawn grass and the rest on concrete. We recommend you wear nice shoes that you can dance and have a good time in! The brides will likely be wearing dance shoes for the reception.
Renting a car or carpooling is highly recommended for getting around LA. We recommend that you do not book a flight that lands between the hours of 2-5pm, as you might end up sitting in traffic for up to 2 hours getting from LAX or Burbank to Westlake Village area. LAX to Westlake Village may be worse, so consider grabbing dinner in Manhattan Beach or Santa Monica areas (and catch sunset!) if you plan to travel late Thursday or Friday. Traffic calms down after 7:30pm in the evenings!
We are exploring options here - please stay tuned.
