Amie and Leila met at the original Philz coffee shop back in 2014 as an interviewer and interviewee. After a few years of working on and off together, many dog walks, and a fast friendship, they realized that each found the other far more intriguing and funnier than anyone they dated. As their friendship started to deepen, they would hang out after work and make excuses to go to REI and do boring errands together. Later, in 2016, Leila joined Amie on her sabbatical in Greece with another friend. After having so much fun that everyone's faces hurt from laughing for two weeks straight, Amie and Leila realized they liked each other as more than just friends. They were mutually excited to go backpacking together in Desolation Wilderness after coming home from Greece. Since then, they’ve been traveling all over the world together, living in many different places, and having epic adventures together!
