Hotel
We chose the Westin because of its excellent reputation, beautiful views, and its amazing location, steps from Colorado Blvd, the heart of Old Town Pasadena. We encourage our guests to enjoy the neighborhood, restaurants, shops, bars, and all the life and love that the historic city has to celebrate!
Travel Note
PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO STREET PARKING. But there WILL BE A VALET! :) The Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden does not permit guests to park on Arlington Avenue, or any of the surrounding residential streets during events. Please either use the VALET SERVICE, or please take a LYFT/UBER or use the "L LINE" Metro subway (a 0.8 mile walk) to attend the event.
Flight
The following airports are listed in order of recommendation for guests who are flying: • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) - 25.8 miles southwest of the venue, the largest airport in Southern California with the most direct flights to major U.S. cities. • Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) - 16.4 miles west of the venue, a domestic airport that is best geared for short-leg flights, such as to the Bay Area. • Long Beach International Airport (LGB) - 30.8 miles south of the venue, may be cheaper to fly into than LAX because of lower airport taxes, but has fewer flight options. • Ontario International Airport (ONT) - 39.4 miles east of the venue, located closer to locations such as the San Bernadino mountains and Palm Springs, for guests who are interested in exploring areas east of L.A.
Train
Pasadena is easy to reach by train and by public transportation! Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden is located 0.8 miles from the "Fillmore" stop on the "L Line" (formerly known as the "Gold Line"), which is about a 16 minute walk, or a very short Uber/Lyft ride! The "L Line" directly connects to Union Station, which is located seven stops south in downtown Los Angeles, which also connects to the "B Line" (formerly "Red Line") and the "D Line" (formerly "Purple Line"), and all Amtrak and Pacific Surfliner trains that can take guests on trips up and down the California coast.
