There is a welcome party for everyone to mingle from 6pm-8pm on Friday. Make a vacation out of it if you’d like to arrive earlier, but no later than Saturday morning to give wiggle room for unexpected events (flight delays, traffic, weather, etc.). The wedding will begin seating at 5pm. Zack and I will be there Thursday through Sunday and would love for guests to enjoy the full mountain experience with us.
Check out the Schedule of Events tab! Each event has attire with different suggestions.
All events will take place at Fontana Village Resort in North Carolina mountains. Please check out the Schedule of Events tab for more info!
We have a room block at Fontana Village Resort with discounted rates. It is HIGHLY advised to book on the resort if you are drinking alcohol or you are unfamiliar with driving in the mountains. Guests can choose between: • Lodge-style hotel rooms • Private cabins (some are more updated than others) Rooms must be booked by May 31 to receive the discounted rate. If you’d like to arrive earlier or stay later, you absolutely can! Just book through the room block first, then call the resort to adjust your dates or request a specific room.
If you are looking for privacy, a common area, and kitchen, the cabins are the way to go! There is a tiny shampoo, conditioner, and bar of soap so pack accordingly.
Yes there is a RV campground 5 minutes from the resort, but it can only be up to 30 feet long
No - there is only a charge to use the pool and lazy river.
There are two restaurants! Quill's canteen is a casual option right by the event hall with hamburgers, flatbreads, and pizza. Hazel's, inside of the lodge, has breakfast and an upscale dinner menu such as filets, trout, and specialty dishes.
Yes! We love your little ones. However, the ceremony and reception will be limited to the guests listed on your invitation. If your children are not included on the invite, we kindly ask that you bring childcare to stay with them during those events. There is plenty to do on the property to keep families entertained throughout the weekend.
Yes — the resort is very pet friendly! If you plan to bring your pet, please let the resort know at the time of booking. We will be bringing our dog, Tebow, who will be proudly serving as ring bearer.
Yes. All guests will need a vehicle to access the resort, as rideshare services are very limited in the mountains. If flying in, we recommend renting a car at the airport.
The drive is scenic and winding in parts. If you’re prone to motion sickness, we recommend bringing Bonine or your preferred remedy. Please keep your GPS on at all times — cell service can be spotty in the mountains.
