What elevation is Mountain Village/Telluride at?

Answer

Telluride is about 8700 feet and Mountain Village is 9400 feet. This is high elevation! Be sure to drink more water than you think you need to, and pack a lot of lotion, chaptstick and sunscreen. You will be winded walking up a flight of stairs. Coming a day or two early will help you acclimate. Be cautious of alochol consumption as well. Research high elevation for additional tips.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Short answer, be prepared for anything. Of course monitor the weather a week or two prior, but we recommend layers and lots of options. Average weather in early October has highs of ~55 and lows of ~35. 55 degrees in the sun at 9,000 feet is quite warm. It should be peak fall foliage and absolutely incredible. But you just never know in the mountains.

When should I arrive in Telluride?

Answer

Of course, in time for the wedding on Saturday. The ceremony starts at 5 PM. However, we would love to see you make a vacation out of it! This is one of the most beautiful times of year in Telluride, and the fall foliage will knock your socks off. We will arrive on Wednesday and hope to see you around.

Outside of immediate nieces and nephews, we kindly request no children under the age of 13 at the ceremony and reception.
