FAQs

The Wedding Website of Beatriz Pinheiro and Peter Landrigan
Please direct any additional questions to the bride. Bea will be available to assist up until two weeks before the event. As the wedding approaches and preparations intensify, we kindly ask that all questions—big or small—be shared before this two-week mark. Thank you so much for your understanding.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by March 11, 2027.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all guests to fully enjoy the celebration, our wedding will be an adults-only event, with the exception of children in the wedding party. This decision is also based on security reasons as our venue is situated on top of a cliff. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure a beautifully organized celebration, attendance is reserved exclusively for those whose names are expressly listed on the invitation or expressly listed “plus one”. If you have a serious partner whom wasn’t listed on your invitation, please let one of us know so we can consider including them.

Question

What is the weather in Rio like?

Answer

June is the beginning of winter in Brazil, but winters here are very mild and pleasant. You can generally expect warm, comfortable days and cooler evenings. Average daytime temperatures are around 75–82°F (24–28°C), while evenings may drop to 65–70°F (18–21°C). June is also one of the drier months, so it’s usually sunny with lower humidity.

Question

What should I pack for the trip?

Answer

Rio’s style is generally relaxed but stylish, so think light, breathable fabrics and colorful outfits that fit the tropical setting. Here are some suggestions: - Light summer clothing (dresses, skirts, linen shirts, short sleeves) - Comfortable walking shoes or sandals. *side note: get yourself some Havaianas in Rio, they’re the best flip flops to wear around and you’ll feel like a true Carioca. - A light jacket or sweater for evenings - Sunglasses and lots of sunscreen - Swimwear if you plan to enjoy the beach or hotel pools

Question

What is the currency in Brazil?

Answer

The official currency in Brazil is the Brazilian Real (BRL). Exchange rates fluctuate, but currently 1 USD is roughly equivalent to about 5.20 BRL. Most hotels, restaurants, and shops accept major credit cards, and ATMs are widely available throughout Rio de Janeiro. We recommend notifying your bank before traveling and using a credit card with no foreign transaction fees when possible. We also would recommend using cash for street vendors.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will provide shuttle details to and from the hotels listed to our attending guests closer to the event.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, parking is available by valet at the venue.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask our guests to arrive no later than 3:30 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly, and late arrivals will be asked to wait until it concludes. We wouldn’t want you to miss Peter crying his eyes out as Bea walks down the aisle.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

We have a discount code for two hotels! Please see the travel page on our website for details of our hotel block.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black tie. For gentlemen, a suit with dress shoes is perfect—ties are optional. Feel free to incorporate color! For ladies, we kindly ask for long dresses. If you’re planning to wear thin heels, please keep in mind that the ceremony will take place outdoors on a brick surface, which may be a bit tricky. The reception, however, will be mostly indoors. Please do not wear white. Other than that, we absolutely encourage color—the vibe in Rio is vibrant and full of life!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do NOT take photos during the ceremony only. We have professional photographers to capture every moment, we intentionally want our guests to unplug and enjoy!

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

For any questions or concerns, please feel free to email landriganwed@gmail.com OR contact the bride directly at 443 353 9425. Bea is happy to answer questions up until 2 weeks before the wedding.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

To complement the spirit of our celebration in Rio, we kindly ask guests to dress in elegant, festive attire. The dress code is Formal and we encourage rich, vibrant colors and celebratory styles. Dress to impress! For women, dresses should be maxi dresses or floor-length to maintain the formal and elegant atmosphere of the event. Please note that short or cocktail-length dresses are not part of the dress code. For men, formal attire is recommended. Suits or blazer combinations are welcome, and ties are optional. Colors and patterns are encouraged; however, we kindly ask that guests to not wear jeans and Hawaiian-style shirts. We also ask that you do not wear white, leave that for the bride. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!
