Cass and Ann have been best friends since kindergarten! Apparently our kindergarten teacher, Ms. Hill, predicted we would be friends, and she was right! Our times together are filled with fun and laughter, and it's been great staying in touch and visiting each other as "adults." Ann went to visit Cass during her college freshman year fall break, before even going home to see her parents! Cass' youngest daughter's middle name is Ann, which melts adult Ann's heart. Cass is joined by her husband Corbin and their two girls, Ada Mae and Lyla Ann.

Friends since fifth grade, Aren and Landis have had their share of adventures. From rocket-powered gliders and inadvertent fire extinguisher deployments, to Aren's bachelor party, there have been some good times. They also share a birth month, a birth year, a birth town, but Landis will always be two days older! And now you have some conversation starters if you find yourself in the buffet line near him... Aren is joined by his wonderful wife Lisa, and the little ones Peter and Freya.

Mar and Ann have been friends since before they even remember! Our families met at church, and we have stuck together through thick and thin! Mar played endless games of Rook and watched many hours of movies with Ann while she recovered from her back injury in high school, and helped her learn to drive a stick shift... Ann may have left some skid marks on steep hills around Oak Ridge, despite Mar's skills at teaching! They've visited each other all over the US--Washington, D.C., Washington State, Oklahoma, Utah, Alaska, Texas, and Tennessee, to name a few! Mar is joined by her partner, Caitie.

Éirinn go Brách! Aaron #2 entered Landis's world in middle school. While Aaron is/was a better basketball player, board game player, and international traveler, he has always been the best of friends and an inspiration to Landis. Does anyone else remember the archery course at Balboa Park? For several years his beach-side property was a second home to our groom! Landis is proud to have him by his side at the wedding. Aaron is joined by his wife Min, children Val and Peri, and dog Happy.

Kat and Ann (and Kylee) were pledge sisters at Austin College, and their bond of sisterhood has lasted beyond the formative college years. Ann and Kat travelled to Peru and Bolivia during a January term, and Kat visited Ann at Hovenweep National Monument, in Utah. One of the highlights of that trip was visiting a vineyard! Despite living many miles apart, Ann treasures opportunities to see Kat and her family in Texas, and looks forward to our fairly regular long chats on the phone. Kat is a fantastic friend, always available with good advice and a glass of wine! Kat is joined by her husband Luke and their daughter Eliza.

Erin #3 will always hold that most coveted title of friendship, King Salmon bestie, as Landis and she weathered the realities of living as neighbors in a remote fishing town on the Alaskan Peninsula. Northern Exposure re-runs, tie die parties, and beaver-skin hat-making all helped, and Landis is honored to have her present at his wedding. And how fitting as Erin was present when Landis and Ann first met each other in 2017! Erin is joined by her hubby Brent and wee one Ro.

Kylee and Ann (and Kat) were pledge sisters in Omega Zeta, the best sorority at Austin College! Kylee is such a close friend, and we've stayed in touch despite living in different states since college. When we get together in person, our visits are full of laughter and good food! Kylee met Landis on his first trip with Ann to Texas, and told Ann they were a good fit for each other! Kylee is always up for adventures, planning adventures, and sharing book recommendations! Kylee is joined by her husband, Robert.
Thomas Huston

His physical stature and taste in fine art towers over the groom, and his decent humanity inspires others to be the best version of themselves. In addition to being the ever-patient younger brother of the bride, Thomas has hosted Ann and Landis in the concrete jungle of Chicago, braved the Utah winter in a reciprocal visit, and designed the rad invitations used for this wedding! Landis is honored to have him by his side on this special day. He is joined by his wife Eleanor, and it was their triumphant marriage in 2019 that set the bar for all family weddings to come.

Back in tenth grade, at a small school at the frontier where the Rocky Mountains meet the Great Plains, Ben and Landis met. What followed was video games, snow camping, hunting, and a friendship that has stood the test of time. They even hiked the Grand Canyon that one time, with too little planning and way too short of a time frame. But they survived!
