While we love your little ones dearly, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event (except for the few children included in our wedding party) so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
Your math ain't mathing! We love a big party (especially Mackenzie), but unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we simply can’t afford for all of our beloved guests to bring a guest of their own. Therefore, we ask you to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!
Saturday, April 29 to Monday, May 1. If you want to check out more of DC, make it Friday, April 28 to Monday, May 1.
It's a garden soiree! Wear sundresses, cocktail dresses, suits or dressy jumpsuits in lighter hues or florals. Hats and fascinators are welcome. We suggest a sweater or jacket for the evening. Oh and bring your dancing shoes; but the ceremony is on grass, so stiletto at your own risk.
Rideshare: The non-peak fare on rideshare apps range $18 - $23 from Springfield (i.e., hotels and Franconia-Springfield Metro) to the wedding venue. We also highly recommend checking with fellow guests about *carpooling*! Drivers: Parking will be free as a bird and plentiful. The venue is at Occoquan Regional Park, so everyone could bring two cars and there would still be parking to spare. Please check the Travel tab for driving directions. NOTE: If you elect to drive, *please drive responsibly* both to and from the event. This means whether you're running a few minutes late or still reveling after the glorious time you're going to have eating, dancing, drinking (responsibly), and having a cupcake.
Please review the Travel tab of this site. There are plenty of options for your stay. We have small courtesy blocks arranged at the following locations: The Hilton, Embassy Suites, Residence Inn, and Homewood Suites (all located in Springfield, VA). Please book by March 28!! Some additional rooms will become available if the first blocks max out, but it will generally be first come first served.
Are you dairy-free? Gluten-free? Vegetarian? Vegan? Omnivore? Pescatarian? Whether you prefer seafood, chicken, beef, or plant-based, we've got you covered. If you prefer something other than what was just listed, we probably don't got you covered, respectfully.
Absolutely. We ask you to help us keep our loved ones and yourselves healthy by being proactive and responsible in three ways: 1. Take a rapid COVID test the morning of the wedding. If it's positive, we will see you on the flip side and send virtual hugs. 2. If you feel sick in the couple of days or even hours before the wedding, play it safe and stay where you are. We will celebrate with you later and recommend the best local soup to order in. 3. Bring a mask. The reception is indoors, and an abundance of caution never hurt anyone.
