FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We would like people to arrive at 3:30pm as parking is a half mile from the ceremony location. There will be a shuttle, or you can walk. The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We have arranged for parking at a friend's property up the road. THE ADDRESS FOR PARKING IS 5405 DRUM RD. SW. There will be a shuttle to take people to and from their cars, or it's also a pleasant 1/2 mile country stroll. We are having both the ceremony and reception on our property.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. At 3:00 pm on the dot, shuttle buses will leave from the hotel to bring people to the ceremony and reception site. After the ceremony, buses will cycle in 1/2 hour intervals beginning around 7:30pm to take people back to the hotel.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have requested a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Canal Winchester. You can book by calling them and telling them you need to book for the Rafert/Wagner wedding, or you can follow the link posted under "where to stay" on our website. The hotel is about 25 minutes from the Columbus Airport and about 25 minutes from the wedding locale.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

YES. Our property is FUN but MESSY for kids. We have 4.5 acres, a small creek, and chickens. If you're bringing your tykes, we recommend packing them some rubber boots or water shoes for creek stomping (there can be glass in the creek), as well as a change of clothes. We plan to hire some babysitters to mind the kids who are ages 4 and up, and have a kid's area set up so that parents can cut loose. We'll have a kid friendly movie ready in our living room for late night, and a quiet room for kids that need to get away from the hubbub.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

ASAP, by August 21st please.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Check out our registries under the "registry" tab if you feel moved to give!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Nope. It will probably get cool at night, so bring a layer or two. This is an outdoor wedding and on grass, so choose your footwear accordingly, and please check the weather!
