Train
Getting from SeaTac to Ballard After you land at SeaTac Airport, follow the signs for the Link Light Rail. Trains leave every few minutes and cost about $3–4. The ride north is about 40 minutes. For the easiest trip to Ballard, stay on the train all the way to the Northgate Station (the last stop). From there, it’s a quick 15 minute rideshare or taxi to Ballard—much faster than trying to get out of downtown traffic. If you’d like to explore downtown first, you can hop off earlier at Westlake Station and catch a bus, rideshare, or even the Seattle Monorail to the Space Needle.
