Camp with us (Wedding night only)

Fall is one of our favorite times of year to go camping. As such, we figured why not take advantage of the farm and camp out under the stars the night of our wedding. Clurt will be camping at the wedding venue on Saturday evening. We encourage any interested guests to join us if able! Bringing your own camping equipment is recommended (tent and sleeping bag), but if you are interested in camping and don’t have the necessities, or can’t bring them along, please reach out to us directly and we can supply you with some! We will plan to make a big fire and have late night snacks, and provide breakfast the next morning. Camping will just be on Saturday night, so we encourage you to look for other places to stay the other days you'll be in Maine

Travel Note

Staying in Portland

Portland is a vibrant small city known for its cobblestone streets in the Old Port, its rich maritime history, the endless options of great restaurants and its walkability. From end to end of the Peninsula is only about 2.5 miles, so you can easily see the city by foot in a weekend. If you do not plan on having a car and would like to explore the city, this would be a good place to stay. Depending on demand we can arrange rides/a shuttle to and from the wedding from Portland. Of note, we will be having a welcome party Friday night at the world renowned Novarre Res Bier Cafe, which is located in the heart of the Old Port. There are numerous hotel and AirBnB options in town.

Travel Note

Staying in Kennebunk/Kennebunkport

Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are two separate towns which are right next to each other. Kennebunk is where the wedding is happening and is 15 minutes inland from the ocean. Kennebunkport is a picturesque Maine coastal town with beautiful beaches, a “cute” town center, and also has a few good restaurants, cafes and bakeries. Many people vacation here in the summer so there a few great hotel and bed and breakfast options on the ocean. We would recommend having a car if staying here. Ubers and Lyfts are not a reliable option to and from the wedding venue, especially late at night.

Flight

Portland International Jetport

Portland's airport is small but has daily flights from all over! Kennebunk is about 35 minutes south of the Portland airport.

Flight

Boston Logan International Airport

If you're not finding direct or affordable flights into Portland then we would recommend looking into flying into Boston and renting a car or taking a bus from there. Kennebunk is a little over an hour drive from Boston and you'll pass through Portsmouth and southern Maine coast which could make for a fun micro roadtrip at the beginning or end of the weekend.

For all the days along the way
