Flight
Richmond International Airport is relatively easy to fly in and out of and is approximately 10-15 minutes from Downtown Richmond. Unless you are traveling from a major hub city, expect to likely have a layover. The airport itself is easy to navigate and many hotels will offer a shuttle.
Train
Amtrak can be a convenient way to travel to Richmond from New York and points south. Most trains go through the Staples Mill Station, though a few go through the Main Street Station, which is just down the street from the hotel and venue.

Driving to Richmond is relatively convenient and it is a vehicle-friendly city. Located right off I-95 and I-64, it's about two hours south of Washington D.C., an hour east of Charlottesville, and an hour west of Williamsburg.

Since 1895, The Jefferson Hotel has been recognized by discerning travelers as Richmond's grandest hotel and one of the finest in America. Be sure to check out the alligators statues - the hotel was home to live alligators until the late 1940s. The Jefferson offers both standard rooms as well as suites. Not quite walking distance, but the hotel offers a complementary shuttle. Rooms start at $345/night.
