Main Street Art Fest

On the same day as our wedding, the Main Street Art Festival will be happening nearby. While it’s a great event, it does mean there may be extra traffic near our wedding venue. The good news is since our reception venue has changed you are now able to drive to the venue with ease. There is a valet service provided! The good news? Our ceremony begins at 2:00 PM and wraps up around 3:00 PM, with the reception starting at 5:30 PM—giving you a few fabulous hours to enjoy the festival or explore downtown Fort Worth. Below are some of our favorite spots to eat, sip, and explore in the meantime. Go ahead… make the most of the in-between 🥂

The Main Street Art Festival takes place across several areas around Sundance Square. After the ceremony, the trolley will drop guests off near Sundance Square, giving you plenty of time to explore everything the festival has to offer before the reception begins.

Thompson's Bookstore Speakeasy

900 Houston Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102

Matt and Sam’s all-time favorite bar in Fort Worth! This hidden speakeasy is tucked behind a bookcase and serves up incredible cocktails in a moody, upscale setting. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for something a little more mysterious and totally unforgettable. To enter: Find the entrance, give the bouncer the password (you’ll find it on their Facebook page), and prepare to be impressed. What’s behind the bookcase? You’ll have to see for yourself...

Branch & Bird

One of Matt and Sam’s favorite lunch/dinner spots in Fort Worth! This chic wine bar features a gorgeous rooftop overlooking Sundance Square—perfect for sipping, snacking, and soaking in the city views. Whether you're in the mood for a glass of rosé or a small plate to share, this spot is a must during the break. To enter: Head into the lobby of Frost Bank and look to the left—you’ll see a set of elevators. On the screen, simply select Branch & Bird, and up you go to rooftop bliss.

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium

A cozy beer garden nestled in the heart of downtown—perfect for relaxing and hanging out while you wait. It’s just a quick 2-minute walk from the reception!
