Q&A

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Our dress code is Spring Formal, and we kindly ask all guests to adhere to this attire. Please wear formal attire in light, seasonal colors—suits, kilts, and long dresses. We also ask that guests refrain from wearing jeans, short dresses, dark colors or white/ivory.

Question

What Time Should I Arrive at?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 2:00 PM, so we kindly ask that you arrive by 1:45 PM. Doors will close five minutes before the ceremony, and guests arriving after that time will be unable to enter.

Question

Will it be a Catholic wedding?

Answer

Yes, we are having a full Catholic Mass for our wedding, which usually lasts about an hour. There will be plenty of sitting, standing, and kneeling, and it is completely okay if you are not sure what to do. Just follow the crowd you'll get the hang of it. Near the end of the Mass, everyone will line up for Communion. If you are not Catholic or prefer not to receive Communion, you can stay in your seat and enjoy the moment. You can also hop in line and receive a blessing instead. Just cross your arms over your chest and the priest will know you are there for a blessing. Most importantly, relax, enjoy, and soak up the magic of the ceremony with us. We are so excited to share this moment with you.

Question

What is the "Catholic Gap"?

Answer

A Catholic gap is simply the little window of time between the ceremony and the reception. Since our ceremony starts at 2:00 PM and the reception kicks off at 5:30 PM, you’ll have a few hours to relax, explore, or grab a treat. We’ll share some fun nearby spots and ideas for passing the time as we get closer to the big day!

Question

Where Should I Stay?

Answer

We’ve reserved a room block at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel for our guests. You can find all the details and the booking link under the Travel & Stay tab. If you would like to stay somewhere else downtown Fort Worth is your best bet as both the ceremony and reception venue are located there.

Question

Is Parking or Transportation Provided?

Answer

For the big day, parking is available at 1153 Jennings Ave, Fort Worth, just one block from the cathedral. For our reception venue valet parking is provided!

Question

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a fun night out with us!

Question

Can I Bring a Plus One?

Answer

We kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend our special day. Unless specifically stated, we are unable to accommodate additional guests or plus ones.

Question

What Will the Weather be Like?

Answer

It’s April in Fort Worth, so you can expect mild to warm temperatures—typically in the 70s to low 80s °F (around 21–28 °C) during the day. Evenings can be cooler, so we recommend bringing a light layer just in case!
